@@rvmguitarsmusicmore7980 Good deal. Good work. Good video. I want to do the same thing to an old Fender Strat I have but I'm scared I'm gonna screw it up. I hate the original saddle. It makes palm muting difficult for me.
@rvmguitarsmusicmore798010 күн бұрын
@@Crazytownmetal6 I agree with you with the saddles. If you are not yet used to working with a router I would suggest you practice on a few pieces of wood before doing work on your Strat. When I did this work I was anticipating that the aesthetics would be worse. But what the heck, the guitar now does what I wanted it to do. It screams and the tremolo stays in tune. I am sure EVH(RIP) did a lot of mistakes when he first tinkered on his guitar, that is quite a relief for me. But be courageous and confident. I wish you all the best in your Floyd Rose install project.☺

How did you choose your router bit?
@rvmguitarsmusicmore79802 ай бұрын
Hi! for this project I chose the 12mm bit. Since I was a complete beginner and this was my first project, I figured I will use the bit that will have the minimum damage possible should I make any mistakes. Which I did on this one. Also, I chose this bit so it will be as close to the radius on the standard Floyd rose pockets on the edges/corners. After this, I’ve had 2 more projects wherein I used the same 12mm router bit. Thank you for your question and for viewing this video.

What's the music playing in the background, please tell me the name.
@rvmguitarsmusicmore798020 күн бұрын
The background music is just me noodling around and experimenting with recording with garage band. I might someday work on it to make it a complete song.
@punkntdead20 күн бұрын
@rvmguitarsmusicmore7980 I want to play it, I do different covers, you can check it out on my channel. Your music sounds like 80's movie music, very cool. Too bad the quality is bad and I can't hear some moments to play it right ((

I’m just wondering WHY anyone would even want a Floyd rose on any guitar, let alone a cheap Strat copy!?
@user-1-800-spankedАй бұрын
quick tidbit, the old style strat trem 6 screw, the floyd front row of holes for intonation setting actually lines up and once you put at least 2 on each end you will see where your holes need to be drilled for stud mounts

Ya he butchered this guitar.. when are folks going to stop with the router and use a hammer & sharp chisel? Oh god, now he's got out the router lol

If you don't have a proper routing jig- learn the old world skill of a mallet & chisel!!
