I genuinely think Floyd had ADHD. Suddenly bored, not in the mood, suddenly in the mood, the hyperfocusing, loosing track of time, all classic ADHD traits. He isn’t unstable like a fair sized part of the fandom believes… Floyd is just him, just ADHD and that’s wonderful🥰

Totally agree. I also suspect that Kalim has that as well, since he shows a lot of the same behaviours, except more on the hyperactive end. (I also suspect that Jamil, Vil, Idia, Malleus, Sebek and Azul could also be neurodivergent. I also think Idia, Leona and Cater all have depression.)

Also could be a bit of bipolar too. Both tend to present together, so it very well could be a mix of both! I have autism and lots of ADHD symptoms, so I somewhat got Floyd, but also knew hey, it's probably also some mania and stuff from bipolar. Does bring up that I never asked someone I know what he thinks, since he's been studying with psychology for a while

Floyd is considered to being uncaring, unless something entertaining and interesting has happened to the person in question that makes him decide whether to help out or not. I would honestly be keeping my distance from him due to his unpredictability of understanding in emotional and mental states, but he is attractive and adorable. He stated that, in Book 7, by his parents to "being normal" in standard of Merpeople. Compared to Jade, who is unpredictably obsessed with his mountain hobbies of the Human World and "causing Papa and Mama problems with his weird antics." I feel as though psychologists would have a hard time diagnosing a case for Floyd Leech.

I used to not like him much, but after chapter 3, I started to like him more and more over time. He screams ADHD or autism and bipolar together. Him hyperfixating on basketball out of sheer anger, I feel that! I did that with drawing; people said I'd never get to where I am, so I did it out of damn spite, and it was so fun during it

Not really a theory or anything, but I saw a headcanon that he was experiencing growing pains (or teenage hormonal mood swings lol) as he might be going through a growth spurt lol! Something about his school and dorm uniform pants fitting shorter on him, and his asset models having tops with a looser fit than Jade's made it seem like he was in the process of growing. :)
