We left Gatlinburg the day that Hurricane started, so glad that it wasn’t affected too badly. Sad to see the damage and loss of life everywhere else though

We use I 40 to get in from Greer. It was heartbreaking to see it destroyed. Hopefully we can reroute when we come for a visit in November.

You should go over and see what Patara at Appalachia's Homestead is doing for the people near by in Erwin Tennessee. So far she is the only KZbinr in the area doing things to help people. Boots on the ground, not just talking about it.

Good Work as usual but you should have mentioned that as of today Oct. 1, 2024 Hwy 441 thru the Park from Cherokee to Gatlinburg is still closed as are several of the park roads.

Thanks. 2 things: 1. This was filmed before the hurricane even arrived. 2. These videos are overviews for the entire month. If I put too specific information such as which roads in the GSMNP are closed, and then they open them up later today. I end up putting out bad/confusing info for people who watch this on say October 10th. We did put out a video yesterday on our FB page encouraging people to check nps.gov/grsm for the most accurate up-to-date info on road closures in the park.

I guess I am the odd ball here, but my wife and I did the murder mystery show about 2 years ago and didn't like it at all. We felt like it was watching our nephew and his high school buddies running around acting silly for an hour and a half. We both agreed, we would probably never go back.... Sorry! just keeping it real.... But, on a positive note, we have done all the other dinner shows in the area and loved them all. Will be there in 14 days. Not to sound selfish or anything, but I am extremely bummed that 441 (newfound Gap) is closed because my hubs and I were going to go to cherokee. The visitor center there seems to be closed too. It's almost like you really can't do anything in the smokies, which I absolutely hate because this trip I have a camera that I'm so excited to use. I have to keep myself in check though because I know there are several areas with a lot of damage and my heart breaks for them. I'm bringing down donations to help in anyway that I can. There are still things to do, even if it's not what my husband and I planned. Just getting have a vacation for mental health reasons is really what I need. Even if it's reading on the balcony on my hotel room.

I recently subscribed to Everything Auto's KZbin channel (they're a tow company out of Gatlinburg) and they said that the local government has strongly asked locals to not decorate with real pumpkins and corn, due to issues with bears.
