Nice video Gregg. I so wish I could do PPC but we don't seem to have it in the UK

Very helpful sir. I need to work up the courage to try this soon.

Mr. Gregg, apparently when struck w/ this type of problem things are strangely quiet -n- serene as you LQQK off into the void but for some despite the tranquil look of things....Umm, are SCREAMing inside their mind as this unfolds? I'm just an older guy hoping to fly a Pt103 plane at some point. I happened upon this video & it resonates with me. peace & GB

@@diggy-d8w Good for you on the 103 flight plan. I would encourage you to get as much instruction as if you were going to fly with a sport pilot license. I have done engine off with several people only after asking if they are up for a little adventure. No one has seems scared once I turn it off because we don’t go down very much faster than when I Idle down temporarily. Best Hobby ever for me. This is done voice to text so I hope all the grammar and spelling makes sense.

Yeah, if I see myself closer to doing it I'd want some basic instruction on the craft I was gonna use. I gather you're using a chute type wing b/c on the ground when the restart didn't happen you lost the air under that chute. I've been looking at a variety of Pt 103's & I think some sort of fixed wing or one that can be easily folded would be better for me but I've got lots to research before I get to that. This video was important & the only one like it I've seen. This is what most would worry about & you've shown what to expect. Sure they drop at different rates but just so you aren't free-falling, you're ok? I wouldn't want Tom Petty's song Free Falling at my graveside service - yuk. GB

@@diggy-d8w Depending on the wind you’re gliding down at about 600 ft./min. Roughly 10 ft./s.

Yes Sir, seeing you cut the power was soothing & I don't even fly... lol, but to see/hear it live just gave me a better understanding of the "event"..... I'm "Subb'd Up" for you cutting thru the BS & just doing it . I am not afraid of it like I think most might be.... thanks for the front row seat & just so you've got the wing full of air you are alright. I've not been looking at this stuff too long but this is what anyone needs to know about the sport. What you showed isn't shown very often so I'm guessing most are afraid of losing an engine. TY for showing us & I'll be checking out your other work(s). peace & GB You/yours
