Thanks to you Fluff for reviewing my Peavey stereo rig! You got most everything correct except that the GT-10 is not only a midi controller, but also processes my Piezo output as well. I know it looks overkill for church usage, but using Tube amps live (which for this old rocker is all I’ve ever done and is oh so good) virtually mandates a backup. So this stereo rig can within about 10-15 seconds be made to run mono for either amp should one go down…which had happened (though thankfully only during practise). A fair beard score given the older nature of the gear, but with a price point of around $2500 when I built it a few years ago it’s a great versatile rig for me who is the only guitarist in the band as I need to cover a LOT of musical styles Thanks again!

And I don't really give a Rats Ass who likes it or not. So when you play "every day" Do you crank that amp. up to it's potential? heat them those up... Crank that gain to get those sweet sustained; pitch harmonics? Do your neighbors hate you? So you're rockin' a 335 type; then switch to your Tele. and on to your Strat.? Then bust our the old 7 string with the drop D and do some chuggin'? Lol whatever blows your skirt up is fine with me.. if you're happy that's what counts. it's all good. I was gonna say that a GT10 and an AxeFX was overkill, but maybe he's using it as a foot controller? Even still pretty overkill.
@SolaChristus7 ай бұрын
You are partly correct as it is mine rig. However, what Fluff missed is that I also use Piezo saddles on my guitar. So, the Gt10 processes the “acoustic” signal part, while the Axefx supplied FX to the stereo electric signal only. And, I like having redundancies in case of equipment failure…always need a backup. (Hence the TC G-major) Lastly, because everything stays permanently there on site I don’t bother getting the latest and greatest gear in case of theft (even though everything is insured)…
@efa6667 ай бұрын
@@SolaChristus Ahhh thank you for the clarification. To be fair the GT series had some amazing tech, in my gigging days I had everything in a set programmed so that all I had to do was mess with the expression pedal!
@SolaChristus7 ай бұрын
@@efa666 that’s the best way of doing it. Tap dancing on pedals when the notes are flying by at warp speed by is a nightmare…lol! And yeah the gt-10 isn’t too bad at all. As stated I’ve got it set primarily for the Acoustic signal (it’s got lots of Fx to help the Piezos out), but in case of Axefx and/TC g major failure I’ve got a simple 4CM bank of patches set up ready to go, although that requires a bit of re-cabling…. All in all I was just trying to make a Mini “Petrucci” rig at minimum cost…I think this rig only cost about $2500 to build using second hand gear…
