What a gorgeous foam roller set... as a guy with longer hair , I can say that I heave never done a foam Roller set however I so do regular wet sets using brush rollers or Velcro rollers and either a soft hood dryer or a pedestal dryer . I believe in doing what makes me comfortable and not necessarily what society expects of me , my fascination with rollers and roller sets started as a young child as i would watch my mother roll her hair with great intrigue and fascination.. I love your roller set.

That's seriously awesome, go you!! I'm all about breaking societal views. Everyone deserves to have beautiful bouncy hair so who cares what anyone thinks, hahaha. Yeah you should try the foam rollers! They're a bit hard to sleep on but the curl they give you is undeniable ❤️😊

Also keep trying. It took me a whole month to learn how my hair works. I learnt for me to get the rollers as close to your scalp as possible. It really does matter where you place your rollers. I do 4 rows of rollers across my head. 2 at the top and 2 in front of my forehead to create a nice fringe. but it could very well be different for you because i have VERY straight hair. :-)

@@rachelmaksy Hey Rachel, I don't know if you'll see this, but I recently tried a curl setting lotion I made myself using boiled flaxseed + water, which creates a weird gel. Great video! I love foarm rollers. My hair is growing out of a pixie at the moment. so i do on-base curls with foam rollers all over the top of the head and pin curl the fringe and the bottom bits that are too short for rollers. its more of a 50s look though. I can't wait till my hair is long enough to do something like this.

Did this with a cross between a foam roller and rag roller, being its one I got from Amazon a while back specifically that you can use while you sleep with a silk hair cover while I sleep that is bandana print, it works for my thin hair, which I have plenty of, provided you curl at night with product the first night, and roll it the following nights till you wash your hair. Make sure and keep it in as long as you can before going out. Highly recommend.

In stead of a scarf you can use a hair net to help keep the rollers in, this works the best for me since a scarf slips off my head or a fabric sleep cap that is in the hair accessories/comb section of the store. I like the hair net especially in summer since it gets to hot wearing a scarf or sleep cap at night.

I need some advice please Rachel: My hair is white blonde (extremely processed) but it’s not exactly damaged or very fragile, but it is prone to dryness and frizziness because of this. I have been wanting to sleep in foam rollers for awhile now but I’m paranoid that I will distress my hair from sleeping on it often and I was going to try to use the wet set technique but I’m also even more nervous that I will pull too hard on it and cause my hair to break off.. I suppose the same goes for if were to sleep in a dry set much like yours. I attempted to sleep in a dry set of rollers but I just couldn’t get myself to fall asleep with them in, even with a hair scarf protecting it.. My proposal: maybe you could possibly make a video about how you literally sleep and maneuver with these rollers throughout the night? Any advice, warnings or tips??? Thank you so much!!

Ughh! So discouraged. Trying to do your style for a 40s play I'm in... Don't know if it's because I have long hair or if it's the product. I've tried this several times, and it's awful. I either brush the curl out or get waves that look exactly like the other waves in my hair. Brushing made it worse. Great tutorial, but you are a fortunate one! Your hair is pretty and cooperative, whereas mine is coarse, frizzy, and terrible. =...(

I tried pin curling the other day, and just wasn't able to do it. So time consuming and hard when you have thick hair... double bobby pins, having to re-do multiple curls, etc., etc. and then not getting a good final result overnight. I still want to nail this hairstyle though... I think I'll have better luck with foam rollers.

Wow! I dont usually comment, but I have to say I actually follow you on Instagram because I ADORE your style! I had no idea you had a channel on here for some reason. Lol. I have been searching for the perfect wet set for my hair and happened to stumble on this, immediately recognizing you! Well I tried this way and I am in love with the results! Keep up the great work! You are absolutely fabulous! One more thing..so great to see you also use henna to color your hair! 💗

i was surprised I have everything but the moose and rollers, I have a pattle brush that was gifted to me, and my mom has been using that hairspray probably since it existed (her best friend's a hair stylist alright) and most of it I can do at night....

THIS IS SO GORGEOUS! Can you tell us what sort of haircut do you have? The shape seems to make all your curls lay really nicely...my hair is all one length which I think might be my problem.

Oh no Rachel! Your poor eye ball! I have foam rollers but I also have almost waist length wavy, frizzy-frizzy hair. I think that my results would be much, much different from yours but it still looks Ike it would be fun to try.
