All lovely projects! I always loved sewing for my girls, the smaller sizes were so quick to make. Sometimes when their dresses could not be let out anymore I'd add lace or a ruffle in a contrasting fabric to the hem, or shortening them to tunic length. Of course I still sew them garments but those are not as quick to make. lol

LOL - I bet! Sewing for children is so gratifying. I felt in a bit of a sewing rut for myself but sewing for them put me back on track. What I find most rewarding is how easy it is to fit their clothes!

I enjoyed the podcast and love that you talked about sewing.I have been sewing since i was 10 years old. It's a passion of mine along with knitting.Your sewn clothes were beautiful. I love that your daughter is sewing, its something you can do together.I did it with my girls and they are grown and still sew and knit, in fact my daughter has a podcast on you tube called Knitspired. I have been recovering from surgery which has a long recovery, and you have inspired me to get sewing again,as soon as possible. I am knitting now,but can't wait to sew. thanks for all the hard work you put into each podcast they are wonderful I never miss one!and cant wait for the next one. lol Nicole

Hi Nicole, I wish you a smooth and swift recovery, and hope you can start sewing again soon! Thank you for your warm words! Creating with our children is one of the best things in life don't you think? :) Take care. :)

Hello! It's good to see you again. The clothes you made for you children are so cute! Love the choices of fabric you've made. And your dress is, of course, lovely. I'm not a sewer; I'm a needleworker and new knitter, but I just don't enjoy sewing and I wish I did. I'm working on making a bag for my daughter and she's picked out some lovely fabrics. I've cut out all the pieces and ironed on the interfacing and now I'm out of excuses to start sewing it together. Oh, no, wait! We have my grandsons birthday party on Sunday and we have to get evrything ready, and I have to bake the cake. So, a reprieve! LOL!!😀🎂🎉💞

Hello, Patty! Thank you for your lovely comment! I hope your grandson's birthday party was a hoot! I know what you mean though about procrastinating - I'm sure most of us do! Sewing is a very different process from just picking up our knitting and embroidery needles and putting on a podcast or series to relax. I do hope you end up making that bag especially as you've done all the chores already - I know once I do get my act together and sit at the sewing machine, I feel super happy and accomplished!

this is so tricky - admiring something from afar - but knowing you do NOT need it. i get it, and honestly, that's mostly what will happen for me, as i'll never get around to making all the things i love, but there are so many beautiful fabrics and patterns, etc. lady, you have made some great things in the past few months. i do LOVE that fabric you used for your niece's skirt/the same fabric your daughter has sewn with. is it old? where did you purchase that one from? and there are so many great european fabrics i wish we had easy access to here; i love all the knits you have used. the paapi fabrics are great!

I so enjoyed seeing your sewing projects! I imagine sewing for children is really satisfying and more immediately gratifying. I’ve been meaning to make myself reusable face wipes as well. I’ve been thinking about jersey or flannel on one side and then I’m not sure what to use on the other. I hadn’t thought of bamboo though. Do you like the bamboo side? I use micellar water as a quick cleanser and I’d like a fabric that wouldn’t entirely soak up the water, I think. Also, your water color paintings at the end are soooo lovely! Thanks again for another lovely podcast!

Hello Karma! I use micellar water too and I have found the bamboo to be just ideal and very effective at removing makeup - more than disposable pads, so I definitely don't use more product. Thank you so much for your kind remark on my watercolour - I am still such a beginner so that means a lot! Happy making!

You have made some lovely things for your children and I adore the jersey fabrics that you used 😍. They were such nice things that your friend has made for you and so lovely to have friends that sew too. I don't know anyone that sews, so you lovely people on line are my sewing friends 💞👍😘

Bonjour Nadia ! Je ne vois votre commentaire qu'aujourd'hui... Il est très facile de mettre les sous-titres avec traduction en français sur KZbin, ce n'est pas 100% fiable mais ça permet de comprendre pratiquement tout. 😊
