FLUFFY Vegan Steamed Lemongrass Mushroom Bao

Happy new year everyone! I wanted to start off the year on a strong note with my incredible, original bao bun recipe. The king oyster mushroom used in this recipe provides this wonderful ‘meaty’ texture and the fluffy buns are so delightful. Topped off with pickled carrots and radish and fresh cucumber and you’ve got the most amazing snack. It’s like a hug but in a form of food. You feel me? Check it out and let me know what you think.

The way you cut the shallot is so impressive! And King oyster mushrooms are my fav! So flavour and so much like shredded chicken! They are so tasty! Those buns are so fluffy! I'm in love! 😍 The pickled radish and carrot would also be so fresh! I have to try these asap! 😋

I have a steamer and need to use it asap!! The baos looked incredible, i'm drooling. I think baos are one of my favorite things ever, they are so fluffy and delicious!! Need to get myself some king oyster mushrooms to do this one. I have a huge grocery list to make your recipes!! 😍😍

This video is amazing, and these look sooo good, the buns are so fluffy!😍I never liked mushrooms, but I've been trying for years to get into them since I stopped eating meat. This may be a good recipe to try for getting into them 😋

@@tifflovestofu It's mainly the taste, but I've not liked them for so long that it's sort of both texture and taste😅But I try to eat little bits to get used to them! I'm determined to like them at some point in this lifetime🤣

What kind of paper do you use in the steamer? Looks like it has holes in them. Would regular parchment paper work?

they are wax paper liners and yes it came with the holes which was nice. yes absolutely, I think parchment paper works better for this recipe. just cut it into squares and place it individually under each bun
