Pro tip, seitan freezes very well, and it's basically just as easy to make a big batch as it is making a small one. I batch prepare seitan "steaks" and "chicken breasts" (just different flavours) every few weeks - I make then of each, then I just pull out individual servings and microwave to thaw as needed. Each of my servings has around 40g of protein so it's the easiest way to get loads of protein and delicious flavour into my meals

I freeze them individually on a tray and transfer to a freezer bag - they will stick together otherwise

some of the best plant based meat i ever had was at a colombian place, it was soy curls mixed with black beans, corn, and hot peppers. would love to see a recipe similar as i’m dying to not spend 10 bucks everytime i want it
@TheVivaciousNerd
@TheVivaciousNerd 3 күн бұрын
Soy curls are mad easy to prepare - also you buy them dehydrated, so they last forever in your pantry! I will use hot water with vegan beef bouillon (or any bouillon cube), with some soy sauce, and if you want add Worcester and chilli flakes, or whatever seasoning you like, and rehydrate them with this flavoured liquid mix (soak for like 20 Min). Then just use the rehydrated soy curls as you would any "meat" or meat substitute in various dishes. Lol, this is not really a full recipe, but I hope it's helpful

Woah I really thought that was regular ahi tuna before u said anything , interesting ..I love ahi tuna and poke but hate the texture of watermelon so idk if I’d like this honestly but I’m a lil curious , what happens to the texture of watermelon when it’s cooked does it get more tender like a faux meat or what

Im not vegan but i have a dairy allergy and "dairy free" products are always gluten-free, nut-free, water-free, sugar-free, fruit-free, all the frees so i love asian cuisines for how protein packed and dairy lacking they are, not to mention theyre absolutely delicious
