Engr Dianne,, another concerns for me is the November 2004 CE exam in fluid mechanics Page 413 Gellasania... It has the same problem of Besavilla Page H-42...they have different approach and Different Answers for the same question

in problem 1, you forgot to multiply the width 5m to the area of the parabola 2/3ab, ma'am.

Engr, in problem 2,, bakit hindi nagamit ang area ng triangle = 1/2 rsquared sine 60?

For area of triangle using theta, A= 1/2 ab sin theta. Sa problem 2, you can use that formula for the area of triangle as A= 1/2 (4)(2) sin 60

Engr. Pwede pa explain namm.. Problem 3-25 The gate in the figure shown weighs 5kn for each meter normal to the paper. Its center of gravity is 0.5m from the left face and 0.6 above the lower face. Find h for the gate to come up to the vertical position author gellasania page 121 chapter 3
