Watching & watching again this video. Matching the timing for my Harai goshi technique (or any other techniques) ... moving hands & feet & having the perfect space for hips rotation ...are essential ! " Practice makes you perfect" ... this is my concept!

3 X Bravo for this upload...I love it with all your comments and " pay attention " ! I like your combination of fake Kosoto - gake ( I believe) to Harai-goshi...very smooth ! Also, I like to practice my fake attack with Sasae tsuri komi ashi and when Uke's changing his gravity to avoid my technique ... than I apply the Harai goshi. Thank you for this new video !

I loved the video´s format as I had a lot of problems with harai goshi years ago but still haven´t mastered it. I would love to see more about beating that hikite hand at 6:00 if possible because looks great but you do it too fast . Thanks for sharing.

Great video an very helpful. Does initial pull/off balance come just before the backstep or at the same time? What is the correct timing?
@Curtistopsidae

Unless you have a significant size advantage, I find that it's usually best to start the real pull with your arms after planting your foot. Otherwise, it's easy to pull yourself into uke rather than pulling them to you. It's still good to start some pull as your whole body moves with the initial footwork though to get that initial kuzushi, but the tsukuri/loading comes afterwards

Wonderful video as always! In your estimation, how much of the throw is accomplished with the hands, and how much with the sweeping leg? My guess is 75% hands, 25% leg, but let’s see your opinion. thanks again.

Thank you always pizzacrusher✋ This is just my personal opinion. I think timing and hips are more important than hands and leg. I think the hands are kind of a bonus.

@@fluidjudojapan as for me, hands are the most important stuff - with them Tori makes a tough contact with Uke. No contact - no throw (imho, of course :-)) But your video is helpful for sure ❤
