Hi Luke. If you don't mind me asking, why use a surfboard to learn? Is it just to avoid having to put your feet in the straps? My suggestion is to use a twintip and go from darkslide to superman slide to jesus walk to barefoot slide. The kite movement is exactly the same for all these tricks, and they're incrementally more difficult. Each trick has one extra thing for you to manage from the previous one. Also, I don't think it's easier at all on your switch side. Quite the opposite. Just ride heelside on your good side, throw the trick, land pointing downwind and ride off again heelside on your good side! 😉 Let me know if you want to exchange ideas and we'll chat. Cheers!

Hey Giovani, thanks for your suggestion, i appreciate it, the more I fail to stomp this the more I can see your point hahaha! iI will try it on the other side, and might give it a go on the Twintip, but the main reason for the strapless is that I love reading strapless :) Thanks again and I will certainly post when I learned them consistently. I think the comfortable riding direction may help as you say.

i like your concept of showing the learning/progression stages. Nice idea. Looks like you are struggling to manage the weight of the board at the same time as concentrating on the jesus walk, maybe trying with a handle on a twin tip would be easier?

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I do want to try it on a twin tip too. I am happy to say, a couple of days ago I landed my first ones... And landed it 4 times almost in a row, so stoked on that! what I ended up doing was landing back on my heels, as in this video i was switching feet and trying to land toeside... it wasnt working for me... anyway, just glad to finally start landing them haha

nice video bey! like you said at the end, loop it later and u should land it for sure!
@FlukesKitesurfing6 жыл бұрын
Awesome thanks mike! do you really crank on the bar for the loop? After watching the videos I can see I might also need to crank the bar harder as the loop is too slow and low... cant wait to get out there and give it another run!
@Mad_Mike-ch3oi6 жыл бұрын
Flukes Kitesurfing you welcome bro. Yes, sheet the bar all the way in for a faster smaller kite loop. Do it at the latest moment possible(right before you feel you are loosing power/hang time)

Hey man! Im tinkering with the thought of starting kitesurfing lessons next week, and ive binged almost all your videos where you teach different bits and bobs (just so i have an idea of whats going on during the lessons! ) Quick question - have u landed the walk on water trick yet? ;p
