thank you great video like all yours. Curiosity about the location, looks quite ideal for beginners, waves are too big where I am to learn...

How the hell do i get upwind in waves. I can barely gain speed to start planing but then I am so far downwind it is near impossible to get back to my start point.

thanks for the great video! Could you explain how you wax your board for your front foot? (type of wax, how much...)

Great explanation as always. I have a question though. As money is a bit tight at the moment, I cannot afford to buy a kite surfboard. Would you recommend that I stay out of the waves with my twintip or can I use the same principles as what you have shown in your video?
@FlukesKitesurfing3 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris, yes can certainly practise this in the waves with a twintip. You will get kite timing down so thats always a good thing. The one main difference is the lack of straps which requires a bit more attention to speed and kite flying. I would also say, you don't need a kite surf board, any old surf board will work fine at this stage. See if you can buy an old second hand one and start with that :)

Nice video thanks! Just starting to try surfing and it sure will help me a lot. How long is your board? I have a 6'7 shortboard that gives me some trouble... I know it's a little too big, but I want to know if the problem is either with the board or actually my skills!!

Hey Ignacio, Glad to hear you are getting into it.. :) You can see my board and why I made it that way here kzbin.info/www/bejne/apS3fJh8dqaKnJI after riding it along with many others, I can say with confidence you will find a shorter board easier overall. Wave riding, in my opinion you want a board slightly shorter and slightly narrower than what you would surf with, but ultimately you would choose the board based on the waves you are riding on the day. For cross over, freestyle, free ride and smaller waves, a shorter board is easier and smoother to ride. That said, technique plays a big role no matter what you are riding. :)

Do you have a video for bodydragging with the board? I can do it without but with the board it s uncomfortable for me.
