A couple suggestions; D-shifter is mandatory imo, the deck struggles going second and dshifter is a turn skip against most decks so it seriously helps out. Drawing into it later isn't even bad because you can easily manipulate the gy with strix and raiza - speaking of, you can stack shifter with raiza for infinite shifter activations. Run extrav - yes even with prosp and duality. Drawing prosperity or extrav off of extrav doesn't matter, you just wanna see a pot card as soon as humanly possible so u can dig through your deck for the field spell, or for shifter. Oh i'd also recommend triple strix, even turn 1 you can usually get something in the GY and it's useful having more ways to normal summon a winged beast and normal summon again, so yeah, it comes up. 1 toucan is definitely correct because it's the hardest one to facilitate it's effect

The fact that you weren’t playing D shifter is mind blowing. It single-handedly lifts this deck from great to amazing. Sure, it sucks in the mirror - but the mirror generally sucks. D shifter switches off veiler and even if they imperm you, they probably can’t do anything under shifter anyway. And thanks to its in-archetype graveyard banisher, you can remove shifter from your gy to allow it to resolve again

If interrupted, then shifter there and then If you only open shifter and no dogma then of course you shifter immediately, but otherwise I think it’s fine to hold both dogma and shifter until you played the turn out and see if you get stopped + if you do play dogma and draw shifter later, you can use ostrich (I think it was) to remove your stuff from the gy

The Book of Moon tech is brilliant, and I had never considered using Mega Riza as a psudo Yata-Gurasu before. My hat is off to you Joseph Rothchild AKA MBT! Other cards to consider in this deck include: -Harpie's Feather Storm is too powerful to not run at 3. It is a Normal Trap that can only be activated if you control a Wind Winged-Beast, that negates your opponent's monster effects for the entire turn. It's basically Azathot, and can stun your opponent just long enough to either give you a second chance to combo off, or to take away any chance of your opponent's comeback. -Barrier Statue of the Storm Winds can be searched by Robina if you already have Eaglen in rotation (happens often). -Flundereeze and the Scary Sea is a Counter Trap that is searchable via Empen. When your opponent tries to Special Summon while you control a Tribute Summoned monster, you can negate that summon and lock your opponent out of special summoning for the rest of the turn, at the low cost of your opponent getting 2 extra normal summons, that they will be unable to take advantage of. -Dimension Shifter, Macro Cosmos, and Dimensional Fissure, since you basically don't use the GY, and your opponent probably does. Worth keeping in the Sidedeck even if you don't want to main these, but you can absolutely main these. Shifter is especially good at convincing your opponent that they should just skip their turn. These even turn off your opponent's Effect Veiler/Ghost Ogre/etc.

I disagree on most of these takes. While Feather Storm is undeniably powerful, you rather want to find - and be able to execute - your main line as often as possible, which Feather Storm does not contribute to. The problem with adding any non-Flunder Winged Beast - and summoning it - is that either you dont get to continue the normal summon chain, which is incredibly important to the deck, or you dont set up Dogma Punishment, which is usually better AND gives you followup. Scary Sea is... just a bad card. City of Dreams basically does everything that Scary Sea does, except better. You might see "your opponent cannot Special Summon" and think it's good but... it's really not, especially in a format with Fusion Destiny for DPE, which Scary Sea *cannot* stop. The only take i somewhat agree on is siding specifically Different Dimension Ground or maybe Macro. The main problem with those is that they conflict with the Dogma engine, so even then, i would rather play other traps before them, not to mention even DShifterr is often worse than Nadir for N'tss going second. The top 2 decks in the metagame arguably care only a bit about cards like DShifter. Tribrigade cares more, but a drawn revolt can still use their banished cards. Drytron, if the pilot is playing 1 copy of Beta Rastaban, which is pretty popular nowadays, can still combo despite playing under Shifter.

I admittedly only found myself searching it on occasions where I had drawn City of Dreams, as it was under performing in comparison. I've not yet run into any Drytron Players with Rastaban, but if it's true that it's gaining popularity, then forget what I said about Shifter in the Main. You make fair points about Stormwinds and Feather Storm, but I still think they may have a place in the deck, or at least in some lists. The Pots boost the consistency of finding your combo so much that there is an argument if raising the power ceiling notably is worth cutting the redundancy/consistency slightly. But you make good arguments everywhere else, so I'll try cutting HFS and see if I end up missing it.

@@JamesSonOfBaboonzo I think you also missed an especially important card that I can't recommend enough to play in Flundereeze: Chain Summoning. Just like Joseph said, Flundereeze is extremely vulnerable to handtraps. A single well timed handtrap can stop a Robina right in its first step. Chain Summoning literally lets you play around every handtraps like that. Got Ash'd, Imperm'd, Veiler'd? Chain the Chain Summoning to them and make play again. As long as you can continue Normal Summoning, every Flundereeze can just add themselves back and continue the loop again. Everytime I played Flundereeze, Chain Summoning is like another 3 copies of Called By The Grave that I just want to see in my hand every single duel.

@@sekaihunter9378 chain summoning is bad in the deck. since eaglen is the obvious chokepoint in most lines, you pretty much have to hope that either your opponent plays poorly OR that you can get access to multiple lvl 1s (either two or better in hand OR one in hand and the field) AND opened one of the higher level w.beasts ALONGSIDE chain summoning. this list is only on three high level mons (only two of which are good turn1), but even other lists are only on a couple empen and maybe one snowl and one apex avian. in other words, the odds of opponent opening multiple handtraps (any combination of veiler/imperm/ash/gamma) is higher than the odds of being able to profitably cash in on chain summoning. bottomline: majority of the time you're either not gonna have a follow up summon after you get handtrapped or you're gonna be stuck on multiple lvl1s and no access to the big birds.

You may think that having both Chain Summoning and a high level bird both on your hand is hard, but with the 2 Pot along side Nadir Servant sending Barren to shuffle back a Trap and fix your hand in a Deck with 5-6 high level birds is way higher than you may think. Heck, opponents thinking Eaglen is a chokepoint may even help you in that instant, because they may not interrupt your Robina but wait for Eaglen to disrupt it. But I have to agree with the point that you should only play Chain Summoning in a variant with more monsters and fewer traps, because it requires you to play all out in 1 turn, so you cannot afford having a Trap stuck in your hand and doesn't do anything. Heck, I even swap out all Imperm for D. D. Crow, because it is both a handtrap that can be searched with Robina and a body that you can put on the field with Chain Summoning.

The book of Moons is a really good idea for the deck, but I'm not sold on your lack of the counter trap, as it really does blanket games with a single activation. That being said, it ain't great against fusions so it is situational. There are a lot of options for Flundereeze and if you don't plan on playing Punishment, Harpie's Feather Wind is a pretty great card to just blanket a turn

@@ungulatemanalpha everything has a counter. doesn’t make it a bad card. we are also not the ocg. deck isn’t remotely tested enough here for anyone to make sweeping claims that a card is trash. that’s a toxic yigioh mentality. hating on card choices until someone tops with them, then they act like it’s the spiciest thing ever. open your mind. try it yourself even before you shoot it down just because someone else did.

Stormy Sea is good, but I consider it more of a side deck card unless you're in a format that has almost every meta deck Link Climb at some point. I'd prefer running Solemn Judgement over it, since it does similar things AND acts as protection.

I generally run it but feather storm is just better and the other trap is as important,the card is nuts yeah but you have other options

Considering that Flundereeze is all about normal summoning a ridiculous number of times and drawing a lot, I see it as Konami's way of bringing rush duels into the master format.

its just a stun version of Fur Hire. Idk how good it is in this specific list, but the Winged-Beast Pot of Greed card is really good in this deck imo particularly once you get the Normal Summon chain going.

That's kinda the issue, it's only good if the effects resolved. Prosperity is better since you have higher chance of the effects resolving that way

I think this deck is kinda sick, I have been play-testing a similar one but I like the added Book of Moons. I would add the Barrier Statue of the Storm Winds personally, because with the Raiza recurring lock, forcing them into normal summoning first forces the Flundereeze trap and let's you go into your combo and shut down their board every turn, plus you can easily have boards that normal summon Ecclesia and also end with Empen and the Barrier Statue, the Flunereeze and Dogmatika traps, and maybe an Imperm or Book of Moon sometimes. It is crazy repressive at it's best and can play around hand traps, but it also can brick like pre-Miami Lebron lol

Flundreeze does seem pretty strong, but it does have one major flaw... getting OTK'd. The negate doesn't really matter if you can survive to next turn and try again with another birb, but since your attack values are so low and you're not awlays guaranteed to get to your defenses, you are SUPER vulnerable to getting one-shot.
