Nice job. I appreciate the way you emphasized safety with power shutdown, testing, and lamp removal. You had clear enunciation with your presentation. Something you may want to include would be cleaning the reflector and lens. That gets the most light out of the fixture.

From an "old gal" here, mechanically inclined, not afraid to tackle projects. Thank you for this great video. What I appreciate the most is your clarity and pace of your speaking. I did about 600 of these converting a school two years ago, after the first few I just ended up leaving the ballast up there after I cut the wires. I had to come back here for a refresher when it came to doing my kitchen, I hate getting old, my memory is shot🤣. Thank you.

I would like to first and foremost Thank you for the very well explained, instructional and attention-to-detail video. I appreciate your time and efforts, my gratitude to the the Mrs. as well. God bless. I was given this task to perform this assignment. I came home and watched a few and somehow your display video stood out and I'm glad I watched it. I'm MORE confident, determined to tackle the 35 units that needs to be converted from Fluorescent to LED. Again, Thanks and keep doing what you LOVE!!!

From one Old Guy to another, Perfect video. Just did mine (hot one end and neutral on the other). Worked like a charm. I must admit, mine were hanging shop lights, so I could unplug them, take them down and put them on the bench and rewire them, and then rehang and plug them in. I avoid overhead work more each day. LOL.

Thank you, thank, THANK YOU!! This is the 5th or 6th video for thisLED conversion purpose I've looked at and I FINALLY understand what I need to do. The "old guy" [I are one, too ;-) ] was clear and precise in his presentation, kept referring to the appropriate wire colors, pairings, and placements as he explained the steps he was taking, and did not cover the wires with his palms, wrists, or fingers as happened in so many of the earlier videos I examined with mounting frustration. Let's hear it for the old guy and his gal!

One thing you omitted.......the replacement LED's must allow " direct wiring " using your procedure. Initially I purchased LED's that did not need ballast replacement ........ removing the ballast's resulted in the lamps not working. Otherwise excellent tutorial ...... I replaced my initial purchase LED's with direct wiring type yielded a successful project. Thank's.

Thank you so much for a clear, concise directions on a 4 bulb fixture. I had watched several videos and the early 2018 or earlier had a slightly different solution - tying everything to one end of the fixture. Your solution makes it easy and perfect sense. It saved me from either replacing the fixture or replacing a bad ballast and keeping it a fluorescent Fixture. Thank you again!

Thank You for the walk through on this conversion. I had earlier converted to a Sylvania LED That is powered from one end only. They call it a Toggled tube conversion so the neutral wire and the line or load wire are fed through the two pins on the same end of the tube. I bought those lamps at Home Depot but they are no longer available through that store. I would suspect that the newer tubes by FEIT that I just purchased are not going to be compatible . So I will have to be very careful to not use the newer tubes in the fixtures that I previously wired for the Sylvania lamps. I have just one suggestion for either of these two conversions. That is to apply a sticker to the fixture to indicate that it has been changed to operate on 110 - 120 volts which could cause a regular florescent tube to crack or burst when energized and also to indicate which end of the fixture the Line wire is tied to. You did a great job of conveying the process.

Thank you. What a fantastic and informative video and, your instructions are so clear. I am an old gal that likes to learn how to do some things too. We do have a repair man coming though, because by watching videos I learned that we probably blew out our ballast in an overhead 2 light florescent because we did not replace 2 burned out bulbs right away. It was so informative and interesting the way you took out 2 ballast, cut the wires, rebooked the wiring and then changed to LED. At first we kept trying to put in new bulbs and it still would not work. We thought the box of bulbs aphid expired so I bought another $30 box of bulbs from Home Depot. New bulbs still would not make light work. Then, I saw the video that said the ballast was burned out because we waited too long to change the burned out bulbs. We have 2 florescent lights in the closet so we still had some lighting. I have replaced fluorescent bulbs before and could not understand why the light would not go on with new bulbs. HARD LESSON LEARNED. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Thank you for making and sharing this video.. Just as is the case with another person of whom previously commented on this video. My (4 light), light fixtures in my kitchen are also almost identical to these light fixtures too. So, now I know what to do when I decide to change them over from flouresent tubes with ballast transformers to LED Light tubes. Once again, Thank You Sir. My house is over hundred years (old Lath & Plaster, with almost no insulation), (circa, around 1916), All the wireing has been replaced to newer style Romex (the wiring used to be the old cloth wound tube & Knob type). My kitchen does not have much heat in the winter time. It only has one 4 foot base-board heater in it. We use an electric furnace to heat the rest of the house. (The furnace, all of its furnace wiring, its wall thermostat, and its furnace circuit breaker were all scrounged from an old mobile home of which my next door neighbor tore down). So in the winter time, it always stays around 30 degree's or less all winter long in the kitchen, and half the time those ballasted flourescent lights only work sometimes due to the cold of which is generally normal for flourescent lights, as they are like me they hate the cold and don't want to work when it's cold. I'm getting tired of turning on the light switch and flipping a coin in a bet with myself to see if those lights will work or not. Sometimes they will, sometimes they will not. Other times only one or two will come on. But after a warm up period with the power on, they will generlly all start working (depends upon how cold it is in the kitchen at that time), (they always all work if the temperature is avove 45 to 50 degrees). The same thing occurres with all the flourescent lights out in my garage/workshop as it has no heat at all. - Anyway, thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you very much for your video, you couldn't have made it any clearer. I do have a question. I followed your video to a "T" and when I turned on the light switch I got a bright flash and then the light just dulled down. It never quite got the power needed for the lights. It kind of looked like the fluorescent lights when they flicker trying to turn on. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? The only thing I can think of are the contact points and I am going to research and/or replace them as needed. Thank you again for your video, 'ol guy & 'ol gal......., the both of you 😆😆😁

I have what I believe is a ballast that has seen its last day. To determine if I can convert the fixture, I go to a KZbin video that will show me how this is done, and if I am able to do it. If the video is more than 10 minutes long, then I figure I can't do it. This "KZbin video rule" applies to a number of chores including plumbing and automotive. But good video.
