You are ambitious and a ton of patience. I've learned quite a bit watching your build.

Thank you. Roger is showing me a lot of metal work. How to bend and Contour certain parts. I've been learning a lot through him. I'm hoping to get the car in primer by the spring. I'm glad that my videos are helping you. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. All the Best my friend...

To make less trips between the vice and the car you can use your factory trim as a template. Since you're deleting it, the trim represents the thickness, twist, and curves that you need to reproduce. Also, since the urethane is liquid, you don't need to worry so much about the base being 100% flat. The factory pinchweld isn't flat, and yours doesn't need to be either. Urethane and the flexible window trim will smooth it out and bridge the gaps.

I didn't think about using the trim. That is a great idea. Thank you for that advice. I am making it flat because I'm adding a quarter inch piece of metal from the body down to that quarter inch metal that I'm making so that's why I'm trying to make it flush. To maintain that quarter inch Gap. Thanks for commenting. All the best

Harry it will look great when it's finished. It looks like you're working Rodger to hard. Do you have to feed him and is he willing to travel? LOL

Great video Harry. Are you buying new glass and painting the edge of the glass black?
@classicrewind2715Ай бұрын
Hi Steven . Yes, that's the plan. I think it'll look really nice when it's done.

@@classicrewind2715I can’t wait to see what it looks like when you’re complete with it.

Steven that was only part 1 of the video. There's a whole other hour video coming up. Probably won't complete that video, Maybe the middle of December.

@ I’ll be waiting for it. Using your past videos for the work I’m doing now. They are a great resource!

What are you going to do where the chrome trim goes? Will the glue be visible?
@classicrewind27159 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I'm eliminating the chrome trim front and rear window. I'm only leaving an 1/8 inch Gap around the whole window. You shouldn't be able to see any urethane. I ran into a couple problems with the new glass I have to redo my corner pieces. Thanks for reaching out
