Flush Pull Slam Latches used:

What's up cuzins!? In this video, Flush Pull Slam Latch IN DEPTH INSTALL #jonboattobassboat , I go into incredible detail of the flush pull latch installation process.
I will go over the latches I used in my boat, how I have modified them in a unique fashion to accommodate my casting deck needs, and a final install.
I will show the install process STEP BY STEP and show you all materials and tools needed to complete this install in you very own tiny boat build.
This video is currently my longest video to date on the #topgunjonboat ! I leave no stone unturned! Instead of doing this as a two part series I will give you the entire process on this topic in one long video/vlog.
I hope you enjoy the format on this one and can take something away from it for your build!
As always... if you like what you see and would like to see more, the biggest thing you can do to support my channel and future content is to kindly subscribe!
May your tiny boat builds be great!

Dude! I can't tell you how happy this video just made me. I'm doing a very advanced Jon boat to bass boat conversion for my first build. I have easily over 200 hours of KZbin watching to learn how and how not to build a bass boat. 10+ hours just on hatches and this is the ONLY video on how to use slam latches for 1/2 wood hatches! My only option for hatch latches before this video was cam latches. At $15-$25 a piece for cam latches, and I need 18, that just was out of the budget. Thank you so sooooo much for this vid!!!

Also, I'm doing my framing with 1.5" aluminum framing and these latches, with your modifications, will work perfect!!

Thanks for doing this video. I've never even heard of these latches before today and am trying to get my ducks in a row before I start modifying the boat I bought this week. Just trying to gain as much knowledge as possible on all aspects before starting. Great video. Thanks again.

Nice video man. I've been working on my 16 ft 70 beam Jon boat. It has an 3/4" corrugated aluminum deck. I disassembled the front deck and put new carpet in. I rewired the boat because the trolling motor wasn't fused. I moved the switch panel and put in new toggle switches. I have it ready to fish now.

11/32 plywood is 9mm thick. I’m just looking at wood I can buy and can not find 11/32 or even 9mm. So you say you buy it a Lowe’s?? The hatch looks like a great thickness which is super nice.

Has anyone used these lattches on 3/4" decking with carpet?
@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think they will work with 3/4. They mechanism that latches will hit the plywood. It needs clearance to catch the latch. Manufacturer states 1/2 inch max I believe.

@@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats I was asking because I see some holes in the body of the latch and I think when water from the rain starts to build at the handle, at a certain point will reach those holes and then water goes inside.
