This is completely fake. There are 2 different sewer systems - sanitary sewer and storm sewer. Sanitary systems are for all water that goes down the drains in your home. Storm sewer is for all water that is collected via natural means. Sanitary sewers run to a waste water treatment plant where it's filtered through various means and then run back through the water system. Storm sewers will route to natural and man made streams which will usually make it to large bodies of water such rivers or reservoirs. Also, unless you've had heavy rains, your phone wouldn't have moved from the original place you left it. Most storm sewers are dry or simply have standing water unless there's a rain event.
