Thank you Sir!🙏for much needed lessons on flute,👍👌👏👏👏please post a video for how to pick flute for minor scale songs too🙏

Thanks for your appreciation. I made a video on how to select the placement of root note for a given tune and another video on selecting a flute of the right pitch given your root placement and orchestra pitch. With these two, you can pick what you need for any given tune. Flute being chromatic, you apply the same logic for any scale or raagam.

The scientific explanation you have been giving is very good Sir. I feel ear training might be handy in a real-time performance. Starting from keyboard or piano before flute helps, as they are accurate in frequencies and are good for ear training...

Great idea Sir and very creative thinking. It would be a big help if you can share the drawings as pdf Sir.
I have shared two links to two drawings. Print them just like photographs. Cutout the fingers circle. Punch a center hole in each of them and attach them together so that the finger wheel is on the top and can freely rotate.

Hello sir. Pranam. This is an incredible tool and is useful at all levels. I was also facing similar issues and hence I created a tool of my own on how to select the best flute. Here are links for the tool description in both Hindi and English. Hope you and your viewers will like it and share any suggestions on how to improve the same. Hi Pranav, I appreciate what you have presented and the tool you have built. Sharing such information is highly desired. As you are aware, there are two different, but interconnected challenges. 1. When transposing, what is the best position for the root note, for a given tune/ scale. 2. How to relate orchestral pitch, flute pitch and root placement. The physical tool I presented in this video addresses #2. I have another video for #1. I see that you tried to address both 1 &2 together. While minimizing half holing is one criterion, that alone is never sufficient. There are other criteria to consider, which I had discussed in my other video. I am just stating these points for mere analysis. I honestly appreciate what you have done. Consider designing your tool as a physical tool like what I had done, so people can easily use it on stage. Thanks for sharing and hope others would find your video through these comments.
