Fluval FX UVC In-Line Clarifier Unboxing & Set-Up

The Fluval FX UVC In-Line Clarifier is a nice additive to your current Fluval FX canister filters, or even your Fluval 307/407 canister filters, if you want that crystal clear look inside your tank. The set-up wasn't too bad either. pretty simple and straightforward. Keep an eye out for either a YT Short or a brief video of how my tank looks after some time running in my tank. I hope you enjoy this video. A little different than the normal, but it was fun for me, and I enjoyed unboxing and installing something for the first time!

I have one and I think the best thing to keep in mind it’s labeled a clarifier not a sterilzer, meaning it’s not going to kill parasites.

I have been thinking to change to 1 of thse i am currently running the TMC Vectron V2 600 uv would it be worth the extra cost as a upgrade will it be better? as 6w when the V2 600 is 25w ? as uv claiffier im guessing uv sterilzer as well?

The Vectron UV is really nice and has a lifetime warranty if bought from the website. I debated about getting one before finding the FX UVC In-Line clarifier. Yours is both a sterilizer and clarifier, whereas the FX is a clarifier only. The Sterilizer is nice to have, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about disease. I just wanted a crystal clear tank. Even when my water changes sometimes get slightly behind schedule, this keeps my water crystal clear. I decided with the FX UVC In-Line clarifier because the setup was super simple and was made for the FX filters with no extra plumbing involved. If you're having no issues with yours, I'd say keep it, but if you're getting a new tank set up or want something different, it ever hurts to try the FX one. Thanks for the comment and watching! @@PriceTagAquariums Thanks for reply, yes V2 is good i disconected it a few months ago had small leak on a connection im just about to re-install it then seen these got me thinking as smaller and easier to install and wondered if be better, i have a new connector pipe coming now so will probaly stick with V2 have 2 Fx6 on tank so might fit 1 of these at a later date best of both then, thanks for good videos great stuff 👍

Yeah, they might be. I know the fluval 307/407 UV are waaay cheaper on Amazon/ebay than buying them at any pet store.
