A little late chasing ice off on this stillwater fishery, but we found some trout willing to eat some balanced leeches fished up tight to the bank and in the back of cuts. I managed to catch a nice Cutthroat Trout and several other smaller bows and cutts. I'm excited to chase ice off and stillwater fish for the next month or so.

You're a beast! I fished deer creek last weekend we were finding a lot of success with a bobber with an egg under it. Streamers weren't cutting it - we fished a few hours and switched to the egg and it was basically instant action. I gotta get on your level lol

Wow!!! Great content man. I’m so addicted to Stillwater fishing here in a West Virginia. We have very few places to Stillwater fish but our creeks are loaded with big wild bows and especially wild brown trout. I’m trying to put a trip together to go out west to Stillwater trout fish for next year. Thank you for this awesome content!!!

Man I had no luck here a few days ago. I think I'm fishing way too big of streamers. Also, I hiked up around where you guys were fishing and my legs were covered in Rocky Mountain Ticks, just FYI.

Good to know. I've never shore fished here, and probably won't after this comment haha. Yeah I know it's a chub lake, but I've only had marginal success on streamers here. Generally I find more consistent action on chironomids and leeches.
