Hi Scott, great stuff as usual! I fish that stretch all the time and do very well there. Never saw a Palomino rising, you’re a lucky man! I’m headed to Penn Creek for the first time and hoping you might be able to give me some general areas or locations that I could try. Nothing specific just some parks or parking areas I could access the water from. Thanks thanks very much.

Hi Jim! Thank you very much! Well, I’ll mention three areas. Upper Penns is the Coburn area up along tunnel road or park at the lot at the dead end, middle Penns is around Poe Paddy Campground, and lower Penns is around Weikert , there’s a fish commission parking lot there at White Mountain Road. Just Google Map all the areas. Good luck and have fun! Appreciate you watching and commenting.

Enjoyed the video Scott as always. You have mentored me greatly over the years of watching all your videos. I had the most awesome day yesterday in terms of numbers and quality of fish. It would make a great video for you. If it is ok with you, if you give me your email, I'll tell you where I was and what was working. Not trying to scam you here, and if you decide against it, I will clearly respect that. I have my reasons for not making a public posting due to the area's environmental and pressure sensitivity. Trust me, this would make an awesome video for you. I caught a 20, 2 19's, 3 17's, 2 16's, a bunch of 14's, and 17 fish all together. As always, thank you for everything you teach and share. Jeff

@pawoodsnwater75518 ай бұрын
@@beebob1279 Hi Bob! Hmmm, I don’t know if McMicheals has Green Drakes? It could be but doubtful, also depends on what you mean by “big” and what color was it? I’m thinking a Slate Drake which is about a size 10-12 gray body and gray wing, but you’d have to be a little more specific.

Hi Scout, great video I was watching a number of your reach cast. Well done. I’ve never fished the broadhead above Stroudsburg. What a great looking area with plenty of room to cast awesome looking water. I’m guessing maybe a half an hour 45 minutes north of Stroudsburg. Scott when you were fishing with the soft tackle on the bottom, was it a weighted bead head soft hackle? Like a holy grail? Most of all I enjoy the camaraderie with you and your buddies. Take care my friend. One more question is June a good month on the west branch?
@pawoodsnwater75518 ай бұрын
Hello Michael! Honestly no bad month on the West Branch, just have to check water levels, decent wading is anywhere under 900cfs from the Hale Eddy gage. My soft hackles I mostly tye without a bead but I do tye a few with beads in case of deeper water. This area of the Brodhead is right in East Stroudsburg, numerous access areas in the ES section. Thank you for your kind words. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

Is that a fly fishing only stretch now? When I went to East Stroudsburg University we would fish that stretch all the time in season. And also down to where now there is a sewage treatment plant (now not stocked). Great place to fish and catch and release I was taking a fly tying class several years back, but backed out to help mom as she got older. Any suggestion on where to pick up a fly tying course? Our local is no more after COVID.

No, that doesn’t have any special regulations on it. Maybe your local TU chapter could help with the fly tying classes, also there’s plenty of KZbin videos.
