@Viktor4386 I'd call it an aerial Snap - T, It's the same set of moves. In this case you don't let the full line settle after the snap (then on to form a D-Loop) You simply move the rod back in concert with the line to form the D-Loop without pausing. You really miss out a step by making the move continuous from snap to D-loop then out again.

@Bumcast thanks Carl. Pretty much the same as me. i tend just to use the polyleaders for salmon fishing with the double handed rod. For trout it is all standard factory tapered leaders. I do like your idea of the visible poly leader for demonstration/teaching purposes. I think i'll give that a try too.

@Viktor4386 You make a very good point! - and I suppose it could be termed as both. Many do begin those wiggles before the rod effectively stops - some after. To make a really effective 'wiggle cast/mend' is all tends to happen simultaneously without clear distinction. But that's just me, others may have differing opinions. Interested to hear them. Cheers!

@jogelinho remember that the difference between conventional fishing and fly fishing is that in fly fishing you are casting the weight of the line and not the weight of a lure or weighted bait.... i would suggested a little bit heavier line

What type of fishing is the SA Expt Distance best used for? I am currently usuing a WFF with a 38' head. I find it a bit hard to shoot and gain good distance with. Would the SA EX Distance be a good line for longer casts and control? I fish smaller streams to large rivers for trout and occasional steelhead. Would the SA Mastery be a better choice? Also, would you recommend DT or WF? - Thank you!

Great movies, great fishing and casting. All very tastefully put together. What editing software do you use? When you upload in HD 720p does it take a long time to upload a movie of this 3 min length? I have a Sony cx110 video camera and Ulead software. When I save in high quality the files are sooo big that it takes ages to upload. Hoping for some advice. And keep up the great work.

Great movies but I recognize that you show all the casts with like 30 ft of line out. How do you actually do when fishing, when you fish the whole cast out and have to start the new cast with only like 10 ft fly line out? Thats my big problem right now, I havent got enough weight outside the rod. Tips?

Hi, I don't think I would - but I may be misunderstanding the analogy of course. I can understand the piston like movement used with a saw being likened to part of the movement in the casting stroke (Translation) But the most important movement in the casting stroke - Rotation - seems to be absent from the action used when sawing

@Viktor4386 No I wouldn't recommend the Expert Distance for trout or sass, I'd recommend a trout or bass line... S.A make some specific lines for throwing large bass bugs, and delicate tapers for spring creeks and trout - The Mastery series is excellent
