Any chance of fishing for them when they are in better shape and not so close to spawning?

If you go 3 weeks earlier yes we get some fresher fish but there is far less in the rivers. you will never get Chrome fish as they have so far to travel to get to this river. Part of the journey is over 230 miles through a lake so no chance to fish for them on their journey up either. However they are amazing fish, freaks of nature as many are close to 90lb you will never see so many monster Chinook salmon.

@@SportquestHolidaysDestinations can you not fish closer to the ocean ? and yes 230 miles from tidal is a long way. How about targeting them in the ocean,that would be epic.

@@roynichols5212 No it is very hard as the Santa Cruz River is huge and we are still trying to find holding water that is possible to fish. So it's not currently practical plus there is no way to target them out in the sea around this area waters are far too rough as it's of the tip of Argentina and Chile
