Thanks Steve, yes, Wellington rivers are in great health, always have been as we are very protected from angling pressure due to our usually poor weather!

You are indeed the Gold Standard of trout fishing videos. The 'Green 'is the envy deep in our angling souls.Keep it up nevertheless, a welcome feast for the senses.

Cheers mate, funny old Cicada season though, not really firing on them, not on the wing and some places are just devoid of them!!

Great clip Andrew. What an awesome river. Wellington looked less inviting on the way back. Cheers, Craig

I certainly agree on your second point - that camera is awesome. bulky compared to the G3 I suspect, but pretty cool. Will probably get a spare battery too.

Mike, be my pleasure, nailing you down for a time slot with you being booked up a gizzillion years in advance is the hard part!

The fish up here don't have eyes in the back of their heads, might be a bit confusing to start off with Mike but you'll get the hang of it haha!!

As always, an excellent video from your hand. The only Kiwi to rival you in terms of NZ ff'ing videos is SI based Mike Kirkpatrick. You should consider a joint project. I'm sure it would be nothing less of outstanding.

Cheers Rene! Mike is a good mate of mine, we have got together to fish a few times lately, but end up having so much fun, neither of us can be bothered filming! The clip of mine "mates and fly fishing" was one we did together, but my edit. We hope to fish again soon so he can do his spin on things as his style is very different to mine. Thanks very much for the thumbs up! Andrew

Incredible shots, loved the aerial where the brown takes the cicada! What Scott rods are you guys fishing? I am a proud owner of a G Series #4 and loving it. Now looking to complete the two-rod quiver with a 6wt and thinking about a Radian but hear it is only for the very proficient caster - any truth to that? :)
@troutboynz6 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! We're both using the Scott Radian 906-4 rods, no the are absolutely the easiest casting rods out there for beginner or advanced, they are not too stiff, but have excellent recovery, can't recommended them highly enough, cheers, Andrew
@davidball50026 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have a Radian 5wt and love it. I am a very average caster but find the radian to be the easiest rod to cast well. I have had a few Sage rods and always struggled with casting but the Radian feels like it is casting itself in comparison.
