Fly Fishing Rough Fork Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Come with me as I fly fish Rough Fork located in the Cataloochee Valley of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Most of the activity comes on a nymph but a few dry fly eats produce some pretty rainbows. I am glad to say that a spectacular Brook "Spec" Trout steals the show.

I almost cried the first time I went there after the elk were released in the valley. I saw more cars in one afternoon than I use to see if I stayed in the campground 2 weeks. I've been fishing there since the late 60's. I haven't been in almost 3 years now.
