I try not to miss any of these skill builders even if I don't tie that particular pattern. Whom ever came up with the idea of skill builder series surely deserves a gigantic raise!

Something I would like to see In the next skill builder is wrapping goose biots as a dry fly body.

I just started fly fishing a month or two ago (in the middle of winter) and started tying flies right after that. When I needed CDC for practicing on Smokejumpers, you guys are definitely going to have it. Also: when my son saw Cheech, the first thing he said when we left the shop: "That was a large human""

I would love to see tips on splitting thread for dubbing and cdc. I’m using utc 70 and I spin it counter clockwise and for the life of me can’t see to get it flat to split it properly.

Oh, I think that’ll fish just fine…. That’s a great fly for active fish…. When my buddy shows me what he just tied and I try to be nice.

How does anyone like the overhead view of doing these tutorials? What is your opinion?

You can’t see my hands otherwise. It’s not to show how to complete a fly. Just the techniques.
