Thank you for the "hackle stacker" tutorial! Best one I've ever seen! Filming from directly above the fly, and using the red colored material for the post, really made it easy to follow and understand your technique!

I love these skill builder vids and especially this one (so far). I’ve been trying to tie a mother shucker for the past three days and figured maybe I should just buy some. I may do just that so I don’t miss the midge season, but this gives me a much needed boost of encouragement!

Love SB series. Great idea and very helpful tips. Tying for 10 years and didn’t know what a hackle stack was - gonna use it! Thanks Cheech

I love these skillbuilder videos! Request for a future skillbuilder, please: how to tie feather slip wings (both on a dry like a no hackle and a traditional wet fly like from Bergman’s book “trout”). I can never get the feather slips to cooperate, and I’ve been tying for 25 or more years. I don’t need married wings for Atlantic salmon flies, just the smaller slip wings for trout flies please.

Love the Skill Builders. Hackle stacker is a cool tip. Suggestion: How to keep hackle from twisting when winding up the hook shank
@FlyFishFood
@FlyFishFood 6 ай бұрын
That one is brand specific. Also sometimes a saddle will wrap without twisting better than a cape will.

I’m really enjoying the hackle stacker technique with the spandex materials. Devin Olsens front end loader tutorial skips the second tie down for the hackle. Do you think it matters much?
