That's Awsome you got to experience taneycomo. I trout fish with my kids there alot. I learned to tie my own flies a couple years ago and it's a blast trying new flies all the time. We usually fish with waders right at those outflows from the hatchery. Their was days we would catch over 100 fish. I was confusing on how the guide fishes from the boat? Did you have a bobber stop and always adjusted when the water was deeper or shallower? Also how heavy do you think that weight was?

It was an amazing time. So there wasn’t a bobber stop. It stopped where the fly line was tied to the leader line. If we go again we might rent one of those boats. Probably makes more sense than hauling hours up there.

@@BooneBoys yea it’s super fun and the scenery is amazing down their. I go almost every week in the summer time. We’ve caught some massive browns and rainbows. It’s an amazing fishery that’s for sure. 👍

Taney is an absolute gem! Best rainbow fishery on the White River system without any doubt. My best friend from college lives in Branson so I am blessed to go there whenever I want. One suggestion, if the water is up, work the dickens out of the bank!

@Laurel Driscoll thanks for info. Kind of an odd name for a lake I wasn’t aware where it came from.

Looks like a fun time! Do you to think you could have do e that well without a guide?
@BooneBoys2 жыл бұрын
@Heath Bush yes you could do it yourself. I feel more comfortable now that I’ve been with one. If you are going by yourself I would buy some flys from the guide I took to get what they are hitting on and use the same setup he had us using. Couple things to consider. We broke off about 8-10 times, so bring enough tackle. If they aren’t letting a lot of water out of tablerock lake it could get pretty shallow. Not sure id take my ranger v hull if it wasn’t letting out water. But I’d take it for sure right now.

The guide doesnt seem to know what he is talking about using a sponning reel.
