Caught and released a ton of smallies from the Black in the '80s and '90s on Zrays and Mepps. Great camera work and fly fishing expertise on the vid. So nice to see the area is as beautiful as I remember. Thanks guys...

What flies are you using on the Black River for the most part? I'm headed up there to fish in several weeks. Thank you for the excellent videos.

Great video guys. I fished 10 of Diamonds along with the pumping station about 2 years ago with my buddy & we got into some decent Apaches (trout) at ♦️along with a black bear encounter, only we yelled & he bailed, no shots fired 😂. The guys at pumping station were nice enough to give us a ride down there on sled elevator and we got into some smallmouth. Absolutely love & respect your land & all natives we came across were very nice and informative. I did look for you guys on instagram but couldn’t find you as I would love some information on the stretch of the Black you guys hit as it looks amazing. I’m sure the hopper action in late summer would be on fire. I would totally understand if you guys don’t to share. Keep up the cool videos.

Guys. Great video but your catch and release techniques are horrible. Please learn how to handle native trout. Ur gonna lose alot of viewers. But again wonderful video and thank u for showing us the Black river.

Learn to wet your hands before you touch a fish so you stop killing all of them
@nickp.24324 жыл бұрын
If you don't understand trout etiquette, please do some research. Leave them in the net, in the water. At least these cats were fly-fishing. Arizona trout face many challenges, mostly from man and its many idiots.
@swann5484 жыл бұрын
If your going to release them back, then learn how to handle them or they will die in a few days of shock. Never release a fish that is bleeding from the mouth. Just cook & eat it. What a waste of fish. Go back home and play video games.

Whats the proper way ?
@jestes74 жыл бұрын
@@ThatGuy-sc5rx Barbless hook. Never lift them out of the water. Never drag onto the beach. Bring the fish in quickly. If you have to hold the fish hold it under water, make sure hands are wet, and handle gently while releasing the hook. Don't squeeze. If a net is needed use a rubber net. Keep fish in water. Don't hold a fish over the boat or over ground. Don't hold trout by the lip nor the gills. If resuscitation is needed, gently hold the trout in the water nose into the current. When the fish is ready it will swim away confidently.
