Fly Fishing Trip to the Scenic Gallatin River!

We went on a road trip to go fly fishing on the Gallatin River near Bozeman, Montana. The Gallatin River is a blue ribbon trout stream that holds brown trout, rainbow trout, and cutthroat trout. We were lucky to have such an amazing day fishing in the winter and the fly fishing was great!

Great vid guys . Are there many access points in the valley , down stream from the canyon ? I have read that most of it is private land the further down you go .. planning a trip their shortly . Thanks !

There aren't many access points downstream, but if you are willing to walk along the river from those access points you won't be disappointed! As you may know, anything below the high-water mark is public land in Montana, so you can pretty much fish the entire river legally as far as you're willing to walk. Good luck!

Mostly nymphs. San Juans, rubber legs and zebra midges
