That's a good looking beetle imitation. I like using the tag from the thread to divided the back. I noticed you wrap some of your materials in the opposite direction of your thread wraps. Like the red yarn and the hackle. I'm not sure why? Thanks.

thanks. it doesn't really matter in this case, which direction the materials are wrapped, i guess i was just wrapping that way back then. but as an example, if you wrap dubbing and palmer a hackle same direction, the hackle stem pushes into the dubbing and is protected, if you cant be bothered to counter wrap your thread / rib over the hackle. tight lines

thanks. some graylings, lots of small pike seemed to like it (under 1kg..) and few perch.
