Nice to see the old flies again they still produce i used to fish the rivers in scotland cut my teeth on the esk in midlothian river leader in the borders in scotland my favourite was the grey hen and rusty just found your channel brings back memories thanks robert and tight lines

I really love these flies, I was fortunate enough to fish in the dales of Yorkshire for a couple of years, now I would never be without spiders, yours are magnificent the video is very calming and satisfying, I am going to make a gift set for a young lad I know and many of these flies will be in there., thank you.

I enjoy using the small feathers of the leading edge of the woodcock wing. Agree wholeheartedly about the density of the hackle and don’t understand where tiers are so concerned with sparseness. Maybe the fish slow moving spring creeks?
