Each time you've done it, I've been blown away at the results of the not-so-complex complex twist. Not to mention, it's given me a use for all my less-than-ideal schlappen. Thanks, Brian!

Right?!?! I swear, this us the best use of crappy schlappen in the world!
@jimmartinette96552 жыл бұрын
Cool! I've never seen it twisted together like the with feathers. I have used it to finish off some nymph heads before to make it look like legs or wings emerging. It's good looking stuff. I've had people ask me how I duped it on. I just laughed. I love the stuff.

The no-waste tip is a good one. Most fly tying videos I see pre-cut things that they don’t have to and the waste drives me bonkers! Maybe I am just cheap/poor but working with the spool in hand is worth saving materials.

UV Polar Chenille is absolutely one of my favorite materials. So versatile! My best producing fly is Rich's Ultimate Worm Fly. I substituted the yarn Chenille with the UV Polar Chenille. Weaving the purple and black together produces a junebug color of the conventional soft plastics.

It's funny how smart some folks think fish are. When I was a kid, like 12 or 13 we dissected a fish. It's brain was about the size of a pea. So can fish count the number of turns of ribbing? I doubt it. But on the other hand. they outsmart me a lot. Maybe my brain is smaller than theirs. Anyway good video Brian. I'm with you an the waste of materials. Keep the good stuff coming buddy and I hope it's not too hot down there.
