I follow fly vs Jerk for already 15 years I love the show but I’ts a real shame that you have only one team on fly In my opinion the show will be much more interesting with an equal quantity of teams in both techniques ( fly and jerk ) What happen with the tournament of last year to qualify new teams ? Are you organising it this year ?

Sir The qualifier open did not happen as we the format was very full. Also there are were little interest for the Fly vs Jerk Open when it’s was announced. Zander Pro Open is going good, Reinland bote qualified you can see them this summer on YT, new qualifier opens again this fall ZP. We are open to all fly brands or co branded teams to enter FVJ but so far only Vision and Hardy has committed. We are very thankful. So it’s not a kanalgratis thing, it’s a fly thing. Send the teams and you more then welcome to go up against the Jerks, and please understand that we don’t really choose teams that’s percolate in that way. It’s a waiting line and there were never any fly teams challenging. When asked, most declined. The will to make a stand is just not there. That’s the truth, it’s hard to accept for the fly community, and it’s confusing, we understand, but the proof is here in this comment, ask your brands why they are not here, show this comment and tell them they are just a phone call away. Everyone is welcome especially fly teams. 🤙 We’re very happy to see Hardy Greys here, they’re new to this and we should give them all support we can, they are great guys, and are great anglers and that’s were the attention should be if we really care about fly fishing ❤️ For the record, this seasons EP1 now streaming above already passed lasts years in views. It’s performing better and that says a lot of course.

Damn,,,, I was so hoping that this would be Bauer's year to win it all!!!!! I root for team Vision every year. I have been a pike fisherman for 25 years and have caught my share of monster pike and then some. But I have never caught a Pike on a fly rod, and it's on the top of my bucket list!!! Bauer inspired me to try fly fishing for Pike and this year I hope to get it done.

First time in FVJ history that I cant say im thrilled. New teams are good, dont get me wrong and im sure they are top tier anglers. But its not all about skill. Its the combination of soul, charisma and talent. And now that Vision is out, big part of that is missing. Feels also too commercial. Hope you prove me wrong, fingers crossed.

I think if they told us what happened to Team Vision we (yes! Me too!) would all stop bellyaching about it, accept it, and get on with trying to enjoy the show. I think keeping it a mystery is hurting the show. It's too bad as I really enjoy it.

Let me tell you some facts: Frapp and Zetrix brands belongs to the company Fishing Studio registered outside Russia. Same about its founder and owner. The only issue that connects Frapp and Zetrix brands with Russia is that both brands are quite popular there. Same as many other known fishing brands from Scandinavia, Japan, Europe and etc. World famous fishing brands have good sales in Russia, have distributors and even own companies and offices in Russia. Support tournaments and pro-stuffers in Russia, pays salaries and taxes. Why don’t you call that brands and teams Russian as you do with Frapp and Zetrix? And if we talk about politics and catastrophe taking place in Ukraine (where I have lots of fishing friends) you shall admit that Frapp and Zetrix brands owner has clear anti-war position, which was openly and instantly expressed on social networks despite certain dangers and risks. I did same in my social networks. And do not forget the fact that I’m from Belarus and my teammate is from Latvia. We are same fisherman as we were two years ago. Peace.

Thank you for this comment, There are laws that prohibits and regulates Russian presence on the international market, known as sanctions. They are directions and limitations generated mostly by the US to make sure countries and companies avoid to support a country or a government at war with tax money. Before a team enters fly vs jerk or join any other part of kanalgratis, they are audited for sanctions. No team or company in this round are under US sanctions at this point.
