I agree with you about Fabio, I noticed how many times he paused and was worried about how many people would start making fun of him. I think he did great, especially because English isn’t his first language and he was speaking in front of dozens of strangers.

Nah, I don't think anyone made fun of him, especially at the conference itself. Most of the people there are grown adults, not teenagers, so why would they? He was a little shy and inexperienced in terms of public speaking. But I am sure the community is grateful for his contributions, so the applause at the end was sincere.

With ray tracing being confirmed I think that's likely. Though exactly what kind/what is ray traced isn't confirmed AFAIK, except for shadows and possibly reflections.

@@Kiyodio Giving simmers the ability to walk around the exterior of aircraft is a bloat, I know if you were a member of the flight crew you wouldn't ordinarily accompany another one in the pre-flight inspection process, unless you're training someone else, passengers walking toward aircraft is also bloat.

The flight planning was amazing. It was available on mobile and vice versa . Also allowed flight tacking via the mobile app. Such a cool system. Going to be very close to fore flight

The 737 Maxx is being developed by Asobo themselves, they said it was going to be thier most advanced aircraft yet. which makes sense becasue they said last year that every default aircraft was going to be high fidelity, payware quality.

You mention who could be partnering Asobo on the 737 development. I think it was clear this plane is being developed in-house incorporating all the latest flight modelling and graphical tech. The only support I would say would be probably from WT with the glass cockpits but no this is being development by Asobo, that was clear from the presentation.

I think its totally unreasonable to expect a PMDG Level aircraft with the MAX but i expect something at least on par with the current 787 if not more in the direction of the inibuilds A310/A320. Meaning an Aircraft that is absolutely usable if not mostly complete but without all the in depth failure and system simulation. And I think for a stock Airplane that is totally fine.

And recently, they have been making an effort to ensure default aircraft are detailed, although it was a lot of WT and IniBuilds with the AAU updates and A320v2, and this was just said to be Asobo.

I didn't watch the presentation, so I don't know if they mentioned this, but in an interview a couple years back Jorg said he would love to have every airline in the game but couldn't for legal reasons. The trailer for FS2024 shows more real-world liveries than the trailer for FS2020 (which only showed Iberia). Did they say anything about how many airlines would be in the sim?

While this is great, what I think they need to focus on the most is PREFORMANCE. Im not saying it should run on a 1060 on ultra but they need to iron out stutters and simply make it more optimized. There is no reason why people with 3060ti's (and stronger cards) with decent CPU's should be dealing with stutters and poor GPU usage. Just my two cents.

They'll improve clouds and the lighting engine. They've said before that they'll improved the weather engine. I'm not sure how significant of an improvement it'll be though.
