Is it like the cruise experience on land?
Mel surprises me with a few days at the Warner Hotel in Cricket St Thomas in Somerset.
Warner Hotels are adult-only resorts but don’t get carried away, it just means no kids.
Our rate included breakfast, dinner and entertainment.
Cricket St Thomas is a regency mansion set in 160 acres of gardens. You may recognise it as the location for the old BBC comedy series “To the Manor Born”.
We paid for the Warner Stay ourselves and were not sponsored.

Peter Bowles was filming at Southerndown. I took some photos of him. He was in a dressing gown and slippers. Peter had such a temper at the film crew as he had to be helped across the rocks! Ohh my goodness he was not happy 😳😄

You are very near the Jurassic Coast and wonderful places like Sidmouth Lyme Regis and Bridport. Other in Somerset to visit Glastonbury Tor The Avalon Marshes and Burnham On Sea. You might be able to see Porthcawl from Burnham On Sea. They have a good Country and Festival in Brean and Burnham On Sea at the end of September in October.

Hi, we have been to Lynmouth, N Devon a few times, directly opposite Porthcawl and did get down to Dorset and the Jurassic Coast a few summers ago. Yes, a very beautiful area.
