I don’t think Abols is here to take a spot from a younger player …. Since they don’t have any capable young centers in AHL. I think he is here to replace Laughton if/when they trade him.

you won't build much picking at 12. Its weak for any team that is a middle of the road in their position. If the Flyers get better it will not be with little draftees

The draft, historically, has been a weakness for the Flyers. The last three or four years have been slightly better as the focus around the league has shifted to building through the draft. Let’s hope the powers that be can find some late round surprises that can impact the Flyers future.

Good Monday show to wake up to. Fans are fickle. They want big, and then they want speedy. You can't please everyone. A good mix is right, but a winning good mix is even harder to assemble. If it wasn't, then every team would be doing it, and everyone would win The Cup. Also, was Ritchie big? G? Clarke? Danny B? The Great One was interviewed about his play, and he was told to watch Clarke. The Great One went on to say that he wasn't big and didn't skate fast, so he had to use his brain to maximize his opportunities. Yeah, until the team changes its mindset, we will continue to sign aging vets and lose players that we develop. I feel bad for Laz. He could have been more, but with our current coaching staff, progress will continue to be stagnant. Wake me up when Torts is gone. See, I can play golf, too. 😂
