I use E-6000 industrial glue for my eyes. Its very thick and I've NEVER had an eye fall off. It makes that material underneath bonded together so it takes a razor blade to take the eyes off. One little dab on the eye before putting it on and your set with permanent eyes

For that yellow belly you can also take some of the butter belly bruiser blend, cut it in half, & tie in a super light touch right in front & pull it down over the belly. Works about the same imo

Butter belly is decent but you can’t make it fade from yellow to cream like you can with a marker.

Cheech, have you considered passing the the end of the tag end of the wire back into the front bead after it has been secured at the head? it might help with the thread cutting issue. Just a thought

What's the difference between bruiser blend and laser dub? In how they behave. Can you use laser dub for a replacement head on this fly?

A true gentleman would euro nymph this for wild & native mountain whitefish, but some mouth breather in Pennsylvania will throw it for stocker trout without thinking twice.

But a true Pennsylvanian gentlemen, would grow tired of stocked trout and come to resent them...he would then be inclined to dead drift belly scratcher minnows in early April for the finer things in life, such as smallmouth bass or largemouth bass, or perhaps maybe one the members of the esox family.
