I’ve been a fan of the Italian Florida based vice makers my self for over 25 yrs. I was not aware they sold stainless steel yeti cups. Thank you for your tutorial.

I have been using a piece of an aluminum arrow shaft and/or any type of small tube to get the thickness you need. I have used a bullet case debuting tool used in reloading to keep the edge sharp, doesn’t take much. Copper tubing is to unstable and bends easily. Hard to find some types of thin solid tubing but the arrow shaft will get you 1/4 in plugs that I cut. In all thicknesses of all kinds of foam. Kids small poon floats, not pool noodles, will get you about a thousand 1 1/4” long plugs. Flip flops do pretty good too sometimes. Anyway, just another idea to help and not spend a ton of money. Hook em in the lip!

Deburing

The deburing tool will sharpen the inside and outside. Use a piece of cardboard on your bench to. Save the tip from dulling. The soapy water is a good idea, I use a cloth with a little WD 40 on it. Just a touch. Hope this helps

What kind of foam do you use. How does it compare with old flip flop foam? And finally where can I get some

Or for about 1/2 to 3/4 the price of that set you could make 3-4 sets of 8-10 different sizes like I did.Anything and everything that says or is associated with fly fishing is overpriced. Just buy thin wall tubing of what ever material you want,Stainless Steel,Brass,etc.,some dowels/wood plugs close to the diameter of the tubes and some cheap epoxy/glue. I bought 12in brass in 8-10 different diameters for $1-1.50 ea. and was able to make four 3in cutters out of that one 12in piece.Spent about $5 on wood dowels and maybe $3 on epoxy/glue. It'd be even much much cheaper if you only need one or a few sizes.

Not sharp enough to cut you as he drills towards a finger with a bandage on it. Hmm…
@FlyFishFood3 жыл бұрын
They aren’t sharp enough to cut, but the line winder downstairs sure it.

i was going to say the same thing; it might have only been more ironic if the tip of his finger were missing Jerry Garcia style. But luckily the line winder isn’t that dangerous.

Push it towards your finger would be more convincing if he didn’t have a bandage on said finger lol
