It's been so fun keeping up with these highlights! Thanks for the great content. I don't mind skipping the planning stages, seeing the battles play out is definitely more exciting, but it would be nice to get to see what the team ended up being at the start of the battle just to know what could be swapped to in a given situation. These videos are always great though!

I don’t mind skipping the team setup, it’s a large part of why I don’t usually watch the full vods. That said, they don’t bother me that much in these highlights because they’re toned down to the more interesting parts. Probably will depend on what else happens in the vod!

For the editor: I don't mind the planning for battles, but the actual battles are more exciting, so I'd prefer more of that. Maybe keeping the planning bits pretty snappy and have more time in the actual battle would work.

It’s been a blast watching this run! I don’t think it’s too bad to omit some of the planning, especially if it’s for trainer battles, but I personally would love to see some of the planning that goes into the E4. Love the videos either way!

Skipping the whole planning makes sense, I usually enjoy more the battles. Maybe you could do a brief recap at the end of the planning, saying that you will use this pokemom against this and so on, and then the battle!!!

Actually Butterfree was a great mon and helped me a ton with Mega Evolution+Sleep Powder+Quiver Dance

He was actually playing without setup moves. Otherwise, some Pokémon, notably Mega Flygon, Mega Butterfree, Mega Salamence, Mega Milotic and especially Roserade would be too broken to use. EDIT: Forgot to put emphasis on Regular Blastoise which got Mega Blastoise's ability Mega Launcher as well as shell smash. This one is self-explanatory.

@@owenaspinall2046 If you look at Volcarona and Roserade's stats, especially their special attack, special defence, they are quite similar. Except that, unlike Volcarona, Roserade doesn't have any quad weakness. And yet, Roserade got Quiver Dance too. And unlike Volcarona, Roserade makes quite an efficient use of it's hidden ability Technician which converts a 60 BP Mega Drain into a 90 BP STAB healing move! Which gets boosted by Quiver Dance. Technician also vastly improves Roserade's coverage, because now Roserade can have a hidden power of whatever type it wants like rock, ground, water, electric etc. This is huge because depending on the fight you are going for, you can convert the hidden power depending on your ease. Lastly, if that wasn't enough, Roserade's egg move is sleep powder, making it a mini Mega Butterfree that doesn't require a megastone to activate it's potential, thereby saving one. Just slap a wide lens and sleep powder is about 83% accurate, as much as will-o-wisp. This is far from Butterfree's 98% accurate sleep powder, but like I said, you don't need a megastone for this sleep-inducing quiver dancer. Or you can use a focus sash, quiver dance and three attacks movepool depending on whichever one you prefer. Combine this with the fact that this game implemented SwSh's breeding mechanics, i.e., just put a Roserade of any gender with three moves in Day Care with a Pokémon that shares the egg group and knows sleep powder to teach Roserade Sleep Powder, and ... I think both of us can unanimously agree that Roserade is one of the best sweepers in this game.

I like planning lots but it's usually only for the major battles that it matters, so getting rid of most of it here makes sense.

I usually skip the planning anyway, cause there's less screen movement & my mind wanders. Battles and encounters, and fun chat moments (also PoppyHG) are definitely more interesting to me. Edit: oh and the drawings in this run! But I watch these to keep my mind busy and for entertainment, might be different for people who watch them to get strategies etc.

Because of Goodra's ability in this romhack, Poison Heal. Poison Heal makes Goodra one of the most busted Pokémon in this Romhack, besides Roserade (who got Quiver Dance and can learn sleep powder, so it's literally a better Volcarona) and Porygon-Z (too op, got techno blast while still having adaptability. Slap a choice scarf and sweep!)
