Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are known as some of the HARDEST games in the franchise! Can I actually beat them using only Electric Pokemon? Hopefully my starter Pikachu can pull through.
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. If your Pokemon faints it must be released
2. I can only catch the first Electric Type Pokémon on each Route

Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items are fine)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's highest level Pokemon (at the START of the battle)

I agree let impossible evos possible I get people limit themselves to make it harder or easier with eviolite but I say go for it. Also some monotype runs are limited unless you evolve certain Pokémon that turn into the type needed. Amazing run as well as amazing dad jokes. You can do a naming theme revolving around dad jokes or dad things like (grill, sock Sandals, pun master) or just say a dad joke after each catch revolving around the type. Example: Water: water you waiting for Electric: this was a shocking encounter Fire: this will add some heat to the team Etc. the dad jokes are strong with you and now that you are a dad you have reached another level beyond just the mightiest of dad’s super Saiyan dad!

Finally somebody realizes that Pichu can be caught on the first routes! I know it's rare, but I found one on like my 1st or 2nd encounter, I don't know what it was but it was on the second spot in my party, even though I remember it being my 2nd encounter. I was so surprised when I found one, that early too! P.S, she's still on my Ultra moon playthrough. She's now a beautiful Raichu and probably my favorite team member.

Favorite electric type has to be Ampharos. I think the whole line is absolutely adorable, and I always made sure to catch one in my original Silver runs. Runner ups include Electivire, Lanturn, Togedemaru, Heliolisk and Eelektross I would say definitely allow trade evos like this. Especially when you're already limited to a certain type of mon, not being able to fully access a full evolution line just feels like being kicked when you're already down. Plus, as already mentioned i love Electivire, so I'll 100% advocate for it

I know I'm late, but I absolutely support trade evos being possible. I see these challenges as a showcase of the Pokemons, the strategies, etc and not so much the "game", since the game is not really ment to be played like this from the creators anyways. I'm ok with this kind of modding since it makes it more fun and entertaining

I think my favorite electric type is Luxray. I just really wish it was faster and that there was better physical electric moves. I also really like Vikavolt, but every time I try to use it it gets out sped by everything and KO’d in one hit.

Mostly, even though I had to toxic stall 3 of the totem mons after losing to them once or twice first lol oh and my favorite Electric type is Kantonian Raichu, also in my top 5 favorites in general thanks to Lt. So cool you used Lanturn. It's one of my favorite Pokemon and it seems to me every hardcore nuzlocker completly ignores it in water only runs and I don't get why. But I'm no hardcore nuzelocker. And I totally think "impossible" evolutions should be possible. I hate them beeing impossible when just playing for fun and there are so many cool Pokemon that wouldn't be used in those runs. (Also Jolteon is probably tied with Vaporeon when it comes to my favorite Eeveelotiun (AFTER Espeon of course) but my favorite electrice type has to be Lanturn)

My personal rules for trade evos is simple. Instead of a regular dupes clause, if my encounter is a duplicate of a trade evo, I can catch the second one and release it to effectively be a token to evolve the original one.

In my original run (not a nuzlocke) of the game, I had to sucker punch using decidueye and sack my other pkm to revive and repeat... So I don't judge... It was hell and there is no way to beat it without cheesy strats or overlevelling (my decidueye was lv 65 because I'm the kind of person that never takes off exp share and I'm way to sentimental to ever box my starter unless I have to like in a nuzlocke death scenario)

just for clarity, spiky shield prics on all contact moves, not just physical, so moves like draining kiss, trump card, and petal dance will proc spikey shields effect of dealing the damage

My favorite way I took down ultra necrosma involved a Mimiku and Malamar. Not in a nuzlocke though. First, I had let’s snuggle forever. I used it and brought U.N. to low yellow. But I fainted afterwards. Then I sent in my slower Malamar. But it could tank a hit. It took a hit and then ate a berry to double attack. And then used foul play.

choice band Max hp max attack 4 defense t-tar lives Ultra Necrozma's attacks, then does enough damage that you can stall for sandstorm chip using protect and sturdy/sash ;) Besides that great video looking forward to more!

The Ultra Necrozma fight was incredibly easy for me... I had a Zoroark and, as you may or may not know, it has the ability illusion which disguises Zoroark to look like your last party member. I was smart and made Zoroark look like a Kommo-o so Necrozma just spammed photon geyser and took absolutely no damage at all despite being under leveled.

I did a monofire run of Ultra Sun, and because I actually have the game on my 3DS I had to get a friend to help me evolve my Magmar. So, because this is emulated, trade evolutions being available is 100% ok! But if you ever use an actual 3DS, I’d say you shouldn’t allow them without trading. Go get a friend lmao
