They should do what Flygon HG did. A 2 player nuzlocke where they play on the same save file but pass the baton to each other after each Gym (or major milestone) in a game. So Jan could start the nuzlocke and then play till the first Gym. After that he'd pass the save file to Alpha who would have to use whatever resources are available to beat the next Gym and so on till they win or one of them wipes. Also a rule that I saw in Flygon's video. They can release all but two Pokemon before passing on the save, to try and make it more challenging on each other. But if you wipe first than the other person would have to try and beat the next Gym with the restrictions they put in place of their partner.

I wish more rom hacks had lower levelling. Past level 50-60 theres very little bearing on moves or evolutions and it would be cool to see more of mid-early stage mons
@user-uv2cp1qd1j9 ай бұрын
A slower level curve in a difficulty hack only works if the game is much longer than normal (like hgss) or if the E4 and champion have like level 50s, which would make it very hard to stay under a level cap since you're gaining more and more exp but the difference in boss caps is small.

How?
@AVISFM2 жыл бұрын
@@SleepyKonii pure power doubles raw attack stat, not base attack stat
@screwtokaiba2 жыл бұрын
@@SleepyKonii in pokemon the easiest way to remember base stats is base 100 is 236 with 31 IV and each 2 stats is 1 BST. Theres a particular formula for this but for the purpose of basic comprehension this works This means ev on your pokemon actually changed your effective bst, so is IV and Nature. But for the purpose of this calculation uninvested base 90 attack neutral is 216(236 - 20) Then times two for 432 which means the diffetence is (216÷2) = 108 so the effective BST is around 198 A good example why that infographic is wrong that is in mainline pokemon game is how Regigigas with Slow Start attack stats is actually at a range - Gigas without EV is about as powerful as Ratata. Gigas with EV is about as powerful as Alolan Ratata.

Here comes my "Um Ackshyually" moment: Due to how stats are calculated in Pokemon a base 90 atk stat doubled isn't the same as a base 180 atk stat. This tends to vary given level ups and EVs, but also because stats are calculated via the base stat being put onto a universal value, basically making it so a base 90 atk doubled will be more than a base 180 atk.

When a pokemon faints you cannot use it again we all know that, but can you not get the shed shell from kingler that died earlier? If you were to kill lunatone with ludicolo and bait gengar in you could just switch with it right? Is playing with the sleep turns (cause ludi doesn't 1hko lunatone prob) riskier than playing with your crits to lunatone as well as the explosion crits? Or is it some sort of rule I don't know about.

34:19 pure power is actually better than of boosting just the base attack stat since it doubles the pokemons actual attack value. example azumarill has a base attack of 50 giving it 218 attack when max EV and adamant. pure power doubles this to 436 which is the equivalent of base 149. Edit just did some maths to work out what base attack medicham has the equivalent of, itts ~198.

Quick sidenote: You said that Medichan had 180 base attack with Pure Power because of the 90 base stat, but that's actually an understatement, unless it was changed in Gen 6, which was the generation I started playing competitively. Pure/Huge Power double the actual stat, not the base. An Azumarill without Huge Power only gets up to 218 attack with its 50 base power, but with Huge Power, it raises to 436, which is roughly 150 base stat, rather than 328, which would be expected from a 100 base attack mon.
