Richard Arlen was a pilot in World War I and an air safety expert for the government during World War II. He was part-owner of a civilian flying service as well. His experiences in the cockpit made playing a pilot realistic and believable. Jean Parker was a good match for him. She played a feisty dame quite well contributing her share to their chemistry. It's a solid B flick and a good example of the era. Thanks for sharing this film.

If you're searching for a WWII thriller, this is not for you. This movie is about romance, with a German spy added in for 1/6 of the movie roll to keep the "WWII" sense to the movie.

I agree that this isn't a thriller, that it's a romantic comedy. It's even got Grady Sutton married to Marie Wilson as passengers. The crash doesn't happen until late in the film.
