Nice flight Stef and Phillipe! I loved going down to Lands-End the other year staying in Penzance, picked the South coast up at Weymouth all the way to Land-End orbited the visitor centre like you did (had to avoid Culdrose due to traffic) then the next day routed around the Northern coast line onto the edge of Bristol's airspace, truly spectacular coastline. BTW the Menai Straits and Caernarfon and views of Snowdon are also a lot more pleasant in fine sunny weather! Right onto Part 4 in a bit!

Amazing to see you fly into St Mary’s. I’ve flown the Lands end to St Mary’s routine in a twin otter a couple of times. The Scilly islands are amazing. Fond family memories with my grandparents and flying the old British Helicopter service “flying house” back in the 90s from Penzance. Hope you managed a pint in the mermaid!

@@quasar_33b I mean it’s an easy mistake. We don’t make it easy for anyone past the Tamar to pronounce Cornish towns. I see you’re an engineer at Culdrose. What SQN? I was in the cadets as a young lad. Always at Culdrose on the shooting range, or flying with 771 Sqn or 750..

@richardcurtin God, yeah, some Cornish names are a nightmare if you've never heard someone pronounce them before, haha. Currently on 820 NAS, work on the baggers and pingers. My uncle was a crewy on 771 back in the day. I do wish they'd got some SAR queens and kept 771 only heard great things about that draft.

@@quasar_33b yeah such a shame. They did some great work and awesome to sea the sea kings flying around. I lived in Helston and went to school in Mullion, so used to see them all the time.
