Also at 19:14 the bridge on the far right is the newest known as the Queensferry Crossing and it's the bridge used by cars & lorries whereas the old Forth Road Bridge is now only used by buses, cyclists and pedestrians. Queensferry Crossing has been open since 2017
@drmal3 ай бұрын
There used to be tolls on some road/bridges in Scotland, but we abolished them all in 2008. They're now funded through our general taxation so you can drive freely across the Queensferry Crossing.

3:35 As someone that lives relatively close to dunsfold, here's some fun facts: 1) That 747 was apparently used in a bond film (I don't remember which) where the 747 crashes into a terminal 2) Local Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officers (and maybe other armed police units) use that 747 for hostage situation training. I know, because my college class was supposed to go and play civilians on it because of my tutor's connections due to him being an ex-police officer 3) Dunsfold is, in fact, the aerodrome used in Top Gear, and it served as the 'test track' 4) The Hawker association (or Hawker Hunter Association) is based at Dunsfold, and they're in the process of restoring Hunter T7 XL623 at Brooklands museum 5) This one I'm not 100% certain on, but I'm pretty sure Dunsfold has also been used in it's fair share of films (and maybe TV shows) 6) There are (or at least were) driving experiences you can (or could) do there I'll edit this and add more as I think of/remember them

Newcastle and Teesside ATC are great - never have a problem getting a transit with them, and it's a great route from the bridges via the overhead, with the big jets passing underneath.

Good to see you back enjoying your flying. Was just down at Duxford last weekend and great to see planes take off and land. I’m Scottish but have holidays in Yorkshire. You could have shown Scarborough surly, even Whitby abbey that’s a big disappointing Jump to Newcastle 😢 All three bridges are active, the older original road bridge is now just buses and the newer road bridge Cars. What is the speed these things that’s some massive day.
