You can still get light buzzsaw if the engines are set to high enough power. As he said in the video, this flight was only 40% full, and being domestic too, so light fuel. Not enough power needed to hear the buzz.

Fantastic Trip Report Alex, Air Transats A321neo certainly looks as spacious as it is going to get on this new generation of single-aisle long haulers. Great to see them flying again. It will be interesting to see if Air Canada switch to the A321neo with the present 737Max situation continuing. An awesome seat at 5A and view too. 09:24 ''Wizzair violates the Geneva convention'' absolutely class haha. 😂 You will have to fly with them on it when you are across here soon. Love the reverse thrust on landing. Well, put together as always mate. Liked 😊👍

I'd love to see Air Canada switch over to the A321neo, replacing both the A320 and A321. This would fit their transatlantic routes really well while adding capacity on domestic routes out of their slot-constrained hubs like YVR, YYZ, and YUL. P. S. Not sure what he meant by violating the Geneva Convention though! Even the smallest seat pitch still beats intercity buses by comfort!

@Viktor M The A220-300 has a published range of 6,200 km, about the same as the MAX 8, so definitely doable. Capacity is a little on the low side, though.

@@chadmarkz4334 I'd beg to differ, the Air Canada A220 has the widest Economy seats in their fleet and is designed well. @@chadmarkz4334 I wouldn't think you would have worked there. As I flew a CRJ-550 on united and flown the Jetblue's A220, it's pretty good too be honest. Unless you're talking about Air Canada, while the cabin space is really good, the gally is small, but it's rarely used. The reason why I'm talking about Air Canada A220s is that they shortened the Cabin crew area for an extra bathroom, not as bad as you think as the galley is barely used. Your just a hater doing your thing by saying bull crap on this clean-sheet aircraft, and I doubt you ever worked on it from what I'm seeing from you. As the A220 is the widest narrow body and has tones of space. Btw, I hope your employer doesn't see this comment, because will be a dumpster fire for ya.

The dog barks when taxiing on single engine. Blue (pump) ptu comes on if there's a difference of more than 500psi at either the green or yellow manifold (depending on which donkey is running) ✌️ Blue actually is always on...runs in the background in case of either eng hyd failure.

Great vlog! Nice to see TS back in the air! Although one thing has me thinking. Removing a floor level door exit for an over the wing windows exit... not sure if I like the idea. A floor level exit is much easier for egress in an emergency. I’ve seen many pax who would have a hard time getting through a window exit. BA, years ago played with the idea of removing the over-wing door L3/R3 on their B747s to make more room for galley space, didn’t go over too well. Don’t get me wrong, I love window exits! Got the chances to open a plug window exit on a DH-7 years ago on a mock evacuation for MOP! Got so into the drill, I almost through the plug out the whole onto the hanger floor!! 😳 Cheers! 🍻

Yup, no comparison widebody and these new narrowbodies. Just not the same. Boeing too has fallen too much in love with narrow bodies also, namely going for another 737 refresh instead of a new clean sheet design. About time a new A310/767-200 sized widebody is made, I'm not holding my breath though. Maybe Boeing can reoffer the 787-3 for medium haul or long and thin routes. Capacity wise the 321LR and the 310 might be similar but they are very different airplanes. I miss the old days, bigger planes, more interesting fleets and far more airlines and choices.

Taking temperatrure like akin to security theatre. You become infectious prior to showing any symptoms and you get symptoms before getting fever. A passenger shouldn't have to show up at airport and fail tempoerature test to get refund/denied boarding, since doing so will help spread disease. Since Air Canada has moved to 30° seat pitch on its narrow 737s, Transat becomes prefered aircraft for domestic flights with the wider A320 cabin and their 31" pitch. The 321s will initially be amazing for post COVID trans-atlantic since loads will be very small and it will be a perfect fit. But the 330s will become the mainstay of things return to normal, with the 321s doing long thin routes. But the seats are certaintly not long haul routes. With regards to range, the Airbus web site is confising, showing the same range for 321neo and 321newLR. However, it mentions extra fuel tanks and seating capacity of 204. I assume that the big difference is that you can achieve the 7400km range with a lot more passengers/cargo. There is also an XLR at 8700km range in 2023.
