HELLO AND WELCOME BACK TO MY CHANNEL! As you might have noticed, I’ve decided to go for a completely new style of editing for my trip reports. I decided to ditch the old “Image and Subtitles” format for a more active and interesting voice over format, that many people seem to prefer as it is easier to watch. Now that you watched the result of this change, let me know by replying to this comment whether or not you enjoy this format! Cheers! 😃✈️

Absolutely in awe of an A321 NEO, NOT THE XLR, flying westbound across the Atlantic with a full IFE system and full international catering...Boeing has failed the narrowbody market.

@CarlosHWMe2 жыл бұрын
Your comment is just no that clever, CATERING is up to the airline, and IFE is ALSO up to the airline, NOT the plane manufacturer. With that being said, I do think Airbus has superiority in single-aisle airplane market. WHIST this depends on the airline, you can get the same or better catering in a narrow body plane, and you can get a seat in economy that is even more comfortable, for example A321NEO has 18 inches of seat pitch compared to 17.1 inches on the Boeing triple7, legroom would probably stay the same if the plane is flying long routes. IFE, WiFi, Seat Charging port, and decent comfort can be catered both in an A321 and a 787, although I do understand why a widebody is more appealing, with a wider, more exciting cabin, bigger windows (787, A350 and 777), more lavatories and a more special feel.

The A321 has the most silent engines idc what you say, Airbus really did good on the A321 engines.
@NovejSpeed34 жыл бұрын
You do know Airbus didnt make those engines right....? All they did was install them on their aircraft and change the programming of their fly by wire and flight management computers to use the new engines. What I will complement Airbus for is keeping the 321 in production even when the 757 line was closed down

Amazing trip report! This is the first time I watch trip report about A321neo LR. It looks quite comfortable to fly it in long-haul routes since the IFE is modern and sensitive, the legroom is big, and the plane have the middle lavatory, quite strange to the A321s. Very interesting trip report.

Great video. Question pal, I’m ground crew at Gatwick for Swissport who handle Transat. One of the things we have to manage is hand luggage on the fuller flights- particularly on the 321. Did you find there was much locker space above your seat?
@SkyblueAviation4 жыл бұрын
Jamie Slaney Hey! Thanks for your comment, I didn’t get to use the overhead lockers since I was only travelling with a backpack. However on our way in (YYZ-LGW), our flight was delayed by 30 min due to a lack of space in the overhead lockers, and we needed volunteers to store some of their cabin luggage in the hold. So I’d say they were not very spacious! And especially not for a full transatlantic flight!
@Slaners1004 жыл бұрын

Gatwick...Landed and departed there once in 2017 for my trip to London. Loved the airport itself, but hated the runway, as both my landing and takeoff were wiggly wobbly lol. This is a journey I’m hoping to make in the next year or so, to visit friends near Toronto. I’ve been pricing up different airlines, do Air Transat offer a business class product? What was the seat like for comfort? I have knee and back problems so would probably benefit from a wider seat that I can also recline more. Have you flown West Jet, BA and Air Canada? If so, is there an airline you would recommend? Sorry for all the questions but I’m starting to seriously plan this now! Xx
@SkyblueAviation4 жыл бұрын
Hello Cathy! First of all, thank you for watching and I hope that your trip to Canada will work! About Air Transat's business service, they do offer something similar that they market as "Club Class". If you want to see a video about Club Class on the A321neoLR (which is the plane used for LGW-YYZ flights), I invite you to click on this link! kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2irpXSkh850hbs About the other airlines, I have flown many times transcontinental with Air Canada and I never found them to be that great, so I wouldn't recommend them for their economy class. Also, I have actually never flown WestJet or BA. In terms of pricing, if you're looking for something cheaper, I definitely recommend Air Transat. If you want something in the middle, WestJet is the way to go! Anything above that (Air Canada, British Airways) is a step up in terms of pricing. I hope this helped you out and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
@MartinHarvey4 жыл бұрын
There is a business class however, it’s not lie flat. Airbus seats are a little wider than Boeing and I suspect about 18-19” however, check it it on SeatGuru. As a very experienced tarveller my experiences over the last decade or so on AC and WestJet were mainly poor,

Air Transat lost my luggage on my way to Europe last month. When I arrived, I was told that I would get it the next day, so I was stranded in Europe without my belongs - not even a toothbrush, deodorant or a pair of pajamas - but didn't buy anything. They said my luggage would arrive the next day, and buying stuff would mean that I would have to take it back home too. But my luggage never arrived. I kept calling the numbers they provided, and no one ever answered. I e-mailed the addresses provided, and STILL haven't received a response. When I was finally able to get a hold of a laptop, I completed a claim form (the form wouldn't submit from a smart phone). The airline ruined my trip. My luggage eventually arrived after 11 days. Days after I had returned home from my trip. When it did arrive, the telescoping handle on my brand new luggage no longer worked - so I have to buy a new suitcase too. I was never refunded the money they charged me to check my baggage. I was never compensated in any way, not even for the stuff I had to buy. I have never received an apology. I've never even been contacted by the airline. WORST. AIRLINE. EVER. But the purple ambient lighting on the plane was pretty.

Bit of a sweeping statement' leaving the cloudy skies on London ' but other than that a reasonable report.

r12004rewy Hi! Thank you for your compliment, and yes I was referring to the cliché that we’ve got regarding London and its cloudy skies. I know it’s just a generalization however, since I’ve already spent a whole week in London without any sight of rain!

Awesome! Aer Lingus was supposed to launch YUL flights on the A321neo and I was looking forward to that! But they cancelled a few weeks ago... Quite unfortunate but doesn't stop me from flying it elsewhere! Thank you for watching :D

@@SkyblueAviation originally my flight was being operated by the A330 but changed last min to A321, I surprised that this aircraft was operating a transatlantic flight, however I was impressed as the aircraft was very comfortable.

Liked! However...you would be advised to slow down your narration...and enunciate more clearly/precisely! Also...camera work was a little shaky near the end!

jaypek43 Hey! Thank you very much for your feedback! This was indeed my first voice over so there is only improvement to be made! And for the camera work, I tried my best to make it as stabilized as possible but damn the taxiways at YYZ are bumpy. I’ll try to improve that next time! 😊
