people still need pilot licenses. until they are fully autonomous, nimble and you have regulated air corridors with autonomous driving this is just a toy for the rich, which is ok it's just a small airplanes that can go on the road (but I expect that they don't meet safety standard and are hard to insure)

The only way humans will get flying cars is if they were automated. There is no way we could trust hundreds of millions or billions of flying cars to fly safely. Car accidents would cause a lot more dmg. Flying under various influences would also be a bigger problem. I wonder if Sky Rage would be a thing if it wasn't automated.
