So apparently friend, you don’t have a car that has auto park! My car has auto part & it works pretty darn good! The other thing is, you will recall in the video, they say they have a return to home button just like we have on these model drones nowadays, so I hardly think that’s the problem! The problem as I see it, is it only carries one person & it just doesn’t have enough range to make it a practical vehicle, as where do you charge your batteries when they become depleted? So I like this vehicle & would love to experience flying one of them & I certainly hope they find a commercial market for them, because I think what we’re seeing here is a prototype of a forerunner of a recreational vehicle rather than one that’s used in a commercial business!

@@electricaviationchannelvid7863 It requires too much room, too much noise, too much speed, etc. Relying on air to create your lift and propulsion is primitive, dangerous, high maintenance, expensive, and requires skill and knowledge. Even with increased automation and advances in multirotor aircraft, it's just asking for multiple daily disasters per city. Picture every broken down car you see on the side of the road. Those would all be deaths if they were aircraft. Cars won't be going anywhere any time soon. In the not too distant future, aerodynamics (apart from reducing drag) will be a thing of the past and we'll be using the earth's magnetic field instead, even if it is incredibly weak. The tech will all be silent, solid state, and redundant. You will be able to remove air from the equation altogether. In the following decades it will be scaled down for the masses. I just hope it takes longer than I anticipate because I dread the day I'm camping in the middle of nowhere and a flying minivan lands beside me. Accessibility will be the death of seclusion.

@@gravityslave5811 IMO this is why should be largely automated flight - shouldn't be able to just take the stick unless you're certified. AI systems would be able to adhere to explicit flight paths, etc (avoiding the most populated areas, compensate for others' flight paths (have then use a unified system like air traffic does today so they are all aware of each other), avoid dangerous circumstances (bad weather, poor conditions (20mph winds is a huge constraint for this particular product), bad/risky landing zones, etc) and the like. This would be the only scalable way to make air flight open to everyone IMO (outside of air taxi with trained operators).

As someone that is involved in Transport Canada aviation department, I am sceptical about these manned drones to ever be allowed to be sold at a scale of wars etc... for very reasons already mentioned in the commets. These things would pose massive safety and liability issues both in the sky and on the ground. They will be implemented on the market to be sold under similar circumstances as Cesna etc... is sold today. Only to people with pilot's licenses etc... I suppose it can be licensed as ultralight which have set of requirements as well, and yes, obtaining ultralight license isn't too difficult... at the moment. As technology changes and new risks are I reduced, so will the licensing.

As for the rest of us that want to evolve, we have a bit more faith in our own kind and are going to want to try and use it even if there's people like you that oppose. The ones that want to risk there lives should be allowed to and the ones that don't are also allowed not to. So just step aside and let the ones who aren't afraid to move forward. You can't just drive onto someone's lawn because you want to, well you can but that doesn't mean that you should. You can drive a car on a sidewalk but we don't cause we know better. Same type of logic will have to go into these new flying machines.a whole new system of roads would have to be embedded in our society. Just like there are freeways and fast lanes there would have to be designated fly zones where you are allowed to fly over. Cause you don't want these things flying all over the place without any safety precautions. Egen though i want to fly these things myself, I also don't want people to be flying these things over my house.

Obviously with the already strict weight restrictions it's probably not feasible but such a vast majority of the market will be closed to this product that 'commercial use' could be a motivating factor for purchase. As it stands now, it's pretty much just for the enthusiast. With the price, weight restrictions and ability to tow/carry it somewhere being a challenge they'd struggle to even reach 5% of say something like the ATV market. You can also bet that here in Canada, within a very short period after release the Gov't would create hand over fist restrictions, rules and red tape, why, because that's what Canada does :-)
